The stay went well—great weather, plenty of sun, and no rain.
The diving was nice, with fairly frequent shark sightings and a few eagle rays (which I managed to miss every single time :), but the visibility was only average. The water was $29°C$, and the coral did not like that at all; there was quite a bit of bleaching.
The Blue Hole is cool, but not necessarily impressive; I prefer the one in the Bahamas where there is more sea life.
For many scuba divers, a liveaboard is the "holy grail" of travel. It’s a world where your commute consists of walking ten feet from your bed to the dive deck, and your only alarm clock is the sound of a tank being filled. But before you swap your land legs for sea fins, here is everything you need to know about the liveaboard lifestyle.
The boat was very nice—a bit old, but the crew is very friendly, the food is very good, and the boat is quite practical overall. All dives are done from Zodiacs.
On our dreamlike blue planet, nearly 71% of the surface is wrapped in vast oceans—a staggering 360 million square kilometers of expanse. Ironically, humanity has explored less than 10% of this living space. Whenever we think of the deep sea, one creature invariably comes to mind, evoking both mystery and awe: the shark.
Apres un long ( très long !

As with many other aspects of government policy, overfishing and other fishing-related environmental issues are a real problem, but it’s not clear that government intervention is the solution. Indeed, it might be one of the main drivers of overfishing and otheIndeed, over three billion people around the world rely on fish as their primary source of protein. About 12 percent of the world relies on fisheries in some form or another.
