The Polar Regions offer some of the most remote, pristine, and awe-inspiring travel experiences on Earth. From towering icebergs and endless white landscapes to unique wildlife encounters, both Antarctica and the Arctic provide unforgettable adventures for divers and non-divers alike.

At Dive and Cruise, we offer a wide range of polar expeditions, scuba diving trips, and ice cruising experiences. These regions are ideal for adventurous travelers seeking pristine wilderness, unique wildlife encounters, and once-in-a-lifetime polar experiences.

Whether you are interested in diving beneath ice-covered waters, photographing glaciers and icebergs, or simply exploring the untouched landscapes of the far north and south, our polar expeditions deliver unforgettable journeys in some of the most extreme environments on the planet.

Antarctica

Antarctica is one of the most iconic and exclusive travel destinations in the world. Known for its towering icebergs, vast ice shelves, and incredible wildlife, it offers an unparalleled expedition experience.

Travelers can explore:

  • Massive glaciers and sculpted ice formations
  • Penguin colonies (including Gentoo, Adelie, and Chinstrap penguins)
  • Whale sightings including humpback and orca
  • Remote bays accessible only by expedition vessels

For adventurous divers, Antarctica also offers Polar diving experiences, where visibility can be exceptional and underwater landscapes feel completely alien.

Antarctica cruises are typically operated during the austral summer (November to March), when ice conditions allow safe navigation and wildlife activity is at its peak.

Arctic

The Arctic offers a completely different polar experience, combining dramatic fjords, polar ice caps, and rich cultural encounters in regions such as Svalbard, Greenland, Norway, and Northern Canada.

Highlights of Arctic expeditions include:

  • Polar bear sightings in Svalbard
  • Arctic foxes, walruses, and reindeer
  • Massive glaciers and iceberg-filled fjords
  • Midnight sun during summer months
  • Opportunities for diving in cold, clear Arctic waters

The Arctic is ideal for both diving expeditions and non-diving adventure cruises, offering hiking, zodiac exploration, photography, and wildlife observation.

The best season for Arctic cruises is typically between June and September, when sea ice retreats and wildlife is most active.
