Boat
Komodo Sea Dragon was built in 2009 and renovated in 2023. Measuring 35m in length and 8m in width, with average cruising speed at 8 knot. It blending traditional exterior charm with a surprisingly exquisite interior, it redefines luxury at sea.
Komodo Sea Dragon has an air-conditioned lounge and dining area is located on the main deck and also features a library and entertainment centre, while a separate open-air lounge area can be set up for alfresco dining. An outdoor bar is also situated on the main deck, offering a wide selection of International wines, beers, cocktails, mocktails and spirits, and the large upper deck is equipped with loungers to help guests soak up some sun.
Komodo Sea Dragon serve three different types of cuisines: Indonesian, Chinese and Western. On a daily basis we prepare various meals consisting of meat, pescatarian and vegetarian dishes complimented by fresh fruit platers and freshly baked snacks. Dietary restrictions can be honoured with special preparations which must be communicated during the reservation process.
Diving enthusiasts will appreciate the dedicated diving boat, ensuring tranquility on the main vessel while providing focused, efficient diving operations.

Komodo Sea Dragon boasts 6 guest cabins, It can welcome up to 12 divers in absolute comfort :
All cabins are equipped with individually controlled air-conditioning, ensuite bathroom, writing desk, reading lights, and stunning sea views.
2 Balcony Cabins:
Located on the upper deck, each suite size 23 sqm, comes with king-size bed, convertible sofa bed, furnished balcony and lots of windows.
2 Deluxe Twin Cabins:
Located on the upper deck, each suite size 15 sqm, comes with two twin beds side by side, writing desk, and air conditioning, seaview windows.
2 Deluxe Twin Cabins:
Located on the main deck, each suite size 18 sqm, comes with two twin beds side by side, writing desk, and air conditioning, seaview windows.
Diving
- 3 dives per day + alternating additional night dives.
- No dive on the embarkation and disembarkation day.

Day 1 :
You can start with an easy check dive at Sebayur Kecil, a shallow reef with clear water and gentle currents. You can see various fish species, such as clownfish, angelfish, butterflyfish, and lionfish, as well as corals, sponges, and sea fans. You can also experience the underwater world after dark with a night dive at Mini Wall, a sloping reef with sandy patches and rocky outcrops. You can find many nocturnal creatures, such as crabs, shrimps, lobsters, cuttlefish, and octopus, as well as some rare critters, such as bobtail squid, stargazer, and frogfish. These two dives will surely make your trip to Labuan Bajo a fun and exciting one.
Day 2 :
You can dive at Castle Rock, known for strong currents and abundant marine life. You can see schools of fish, such as jacks, snappers, fusiliers, and barracudas, as well as sharks, dolphins, and rays. You can also explore the vibrant marine ecosystem at Crystal Rock, where you can find colorful corals, sponges, sea fans, and anemones, as well as various fish species, such as anthias, angelfish, butterflyfish, and surgeonfish. Another site worth experiencing is The Cauldron, where you can dive in a bowl-shaped depression with swirling currents. You can enjoy the sensation of flying over the edge of the bowl and see the stunning underwater scenery, such as coral gardens, sandy slopes, and rocky pinnacles. Finally, you can experience a unique nocturnal underwater experience with a night dive at Gili Lawa Darat, where you can find many creatures that are active only after dark, such as crabs, shrimps, lobsters, cuttlefish, and octopus, as well as some rare critters, such as bobtail squid, stargazer, and frogfish. Day 3 :
If you are looking for an unforgettable diving experience, you should visit the Komodo National Park in Indonesia. There, you can dive at four amazing sites that offer different attractions and challenges. You can dive at Batu Bolong, a pinnacle teeming with marine life, where you can see colorful corals, schools of fish, sharks, and turtles. You can also encounter graceful manta rays at Manta Point, a cleaning station for these gentle giants. Another site worth exploring is the Pink Beach, near the famous beach with pink sand. Here, you can find a variety of underwater wonders, such as nudibranchs, frogfish, seahorses, and octopus. You can also discover the marine wonders at the Secret Garden dive site, where you can find a variety of underwater creatures, such as nudibranchs, frogfish, seahorses, and octopus. You can also night dive at Torpedo Point for a unique diving experience. You can find many electric rays, also known as torpedoes, that can produce electric shocks to stun their prey. Day 6 :
If you are looking for a diving adventure that will take your breath away, you should visit the Komodo National Park in Indonesia. There, you can dive at four amazing sites that offer different attractions and challenges. You can dive at Cannibal Rock, where you can witness diverse marine life, such as corals, sponges, sea fans, anemones, nudibranchs, frogfish, seahorses, octopus, and more. You can also explore the underwater beauty at Yellow Wall, where you can see a wall covered with yellow soft corals and sponge craters, as well as various fish species, such as anthias, angelfish, butterflyfish, and surgeonfish. Another site worth diving is Pillarsteen, where you can discover unique underwater structures, such as pillars, caves, and overhangs, that create a stunning underwater scenery. You can also explore the underwater wonders at Police Corner, where you can find a slope with sandy patches and rocky outcrops, as well as various fish species, such as snappers, trevallies, groupers, and sharks. Another activity worth doing is witnessing the fascinating sight of flying foxes in the evening at Kalong Island. You can see thousands of these large bats flying out of the mangrove forest to feed on fruits and nectar. Useful information
Komodo
Best time for diving
May to October, the weather in Komodo is at its best between April and November. During the wet season (December to March) the weather can get a bit windy, with heavy quick rains, sometimes can cause rough surface conditions. However, liveaboards run trips here year-round.
The visibility in the North is excellent at 30 meters or even more, while it ranges between 10-15 meters in the South.
Some dive sites can have significant currents, whirlpools and see downdrafts. Sea conditions might change very quickly. Other dive sites are more quiet and rich in macro, especially in the South.
About temperatures
Air : range between 23°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : in the North Komodo it can be around 26°C -29°C, while it gets colder towards the south where it can drop down to 22° C.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 - 5 mm full wetsuit throughout the year for Komodo area.
Diver requirement
Intermediate to Advanced level, A good level in diving and some experience in drift diving are recommended to participate to Komodo cruise.

Embarkation / Disembarkation
Most of the embarkation / disembarkation will be in Labuan Bajo (LBJ).
Unless the trip is from Bali - Komodo, then the embarkation can be in Bali (DPS).
Visa Requirements
Indonesia offers a free visa on arrival service for many nationalities which allows visitors to stay in the country for up to 30 days. A list of countries that are eligible for visa on arrival can be found on the Indonesian Government's Directorate General of Immigration.
Please note: Immigration officials in Indonesia may ask for proof of onward travel (e.g. a return or onward air ticket).
Vaccinations
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers over the age of 9 months arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.
Money Matters
The local currency is Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), all liveaboards accept cash payments in USD.
Rupiah can be purchased from all major banks and exchange outlets. Credit and debit cards are also accepted in major hotels, restaurants & shops.
Drones
There are very few restrictions on the use of drones for photography purposes within Indonesia. Please check Drone laws in Indonesia for details.
