Description
Boat
Stingray is a solid wooden boat and combines traditional Maldivian boat-building with modern engineering. It is running by a well experience Maldives Dive Fleets company, you will feel at home onboard as everything was made to make you dive and relax.
On the main deck, the alleyways on this deck are quite wide. The saloon, bar and kitchen are located on this deck. The saloon has 75 sq Meters in size, and equipped with TV/VCR/DVD and Hi -Fi System. The Bar facility in the Salon offers a choice of fresh fruit juice soft drinks, cocktails, liquors, wine and draft beer during the cruise.
The Kitchen provide 3 meals a day, with a balanced mixture of local and European cuisine. Coffee, drinking water and tea are 24 hrs available for free. After diving, fresh coconut or biscuits are served.
From the saloon a stairway leads to the rooms on the lower deck. A stairway to the water is provided at the stern for your occasional swim or getting back to the boat from the water.
The upper deck, also called sundeck, there is a large shaded open space provided at the after end of this deck and is commonly used for relaxing by the guests. There are deck chairs and mats available for use. The dive guide's room is located after the wheel house on this deck.
Cabin
Stingray featuring 9 air-conditioned cabins, it can welcome 20 guests on board.
All cabins equipped with ensuite-bathroom, individually controlled air conditioning, external portholes, storage area, and other cabin facilities.
4 Double Cabins:
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with a double bed, portholes.
5 Twin Cabins:
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single beds (bunk style), portholes.
Diving
- 17 dives per week (1 night dive is included per week).
- No dive on the embarkation and disembarkation day.
- Only 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.
- All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

Useful information
Central Maldives
Period : Liveaboards only run trips year round, with the high season being from November to May.
Visa's : Visas are not required in advance but are issued on arrival. Travelers will be issued a 30 days visa free of charge with a passport of at least 6 months validity.
Climat : Northeast Season: December-April (dry monsoon). Southwest season May-November (wet monsoon). Temperatures are around 30˚ C and humidity is 60-80%. Cyclones are rare but possible in April/May and October/November. Average daily air temperature ranges from 28°C to 34°C throughout the year.
Water : Water temps stay consistent all year round at or above 27 °C through the central atolls, sometimes even reaching a balmy 30 °C. Because visibility is so clear, it is best to wear at least a rash vest for some sun protection underwater.
Clothing : Light airy clothes are perfect. Be prepared for plenty of sunshine most of the year.
Plugs : Type G, 2-pin electrical plugs with 230 V @ 50Hz
Flights : International flights arrive directly from many locations to Male. There are reliable and extensive domestic air carriers flying to many places within the country.
- Alcohol and pork products are prohibited. A ‘reasonable quantity’ of tobacco is permitted.
- A local Airport Development Charge (ADC) of US$25 for all international travellers over 2 years of age may be introduced shortly.
Currency : The Local currency is the Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR/Rf), but is rarely used on tourist resorts. Most transactions are made in US Dollars but other currencies are accepted. Travelers cheques and major credit cards are widely accepted but 5% may be added for credit card transactions. Banks in Male will cash travelers cheques into US Dollars and Rufiyaa may also be purchased. ATM’s can be found in Male.
South Maldives
Period : Liveaboards run trips from January to end of April, during the north east monsoon.

Water : Because of the deep water surrounding the southern atolls, water temperature range from a low of 24°C to a high of 27°C.
Clothing : Light airy clothes are perfect. Be prepared for plenty of sunshine during this time of the year

Flights : International flights arrive directly from many locations to Male. There are regular flights south to both Kadhadoo Airport and Kahdheedhoo Airport.
