Description
Boat
Blue Voyager is a beautiful steel vessel measures 37m in length and 8m in breadth. With two engines onboard, it cruises at 13 knots per hour, onboard there is 220 volt power outlets with EU and UK sockets, plus USB charging.
This vessel was originally built in 2001 and operating in the Red Sea before being completely refitted and moving to the Maldives during 2015 and 2016, then following with further updates in the summer of 2016 and 2017.
Blue Voyager is specifically laid-out so guests can spend their holidays aboard in complete relaxation and benefiting from a separate tender and a the largest diving dhoni in the area, there is more than ample space onboard for guests to sit back and enjoy their diving cruise.
There is a generous outdoor dining area, bar and sky lounge, and even a Jacuzzi make for a luxurious stay on board. There are many options to put your feet up after diving: take your pick from three sundecks with comfortable seating and loungers or remain in the shaded lounge on the mid deck.
Onboard, the chef offer a choice of international and local cuisine, all meals are served in buffet style. In between the meals, there is always some tasty treats for you to pick up. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let our booking agents know, so we can put an note for you.
There is a range of fruit juices, balck/green herbal teas, carbonated soft drinks available any time of the day, as well as instant and freshly brewed coffee. Guests may also select beer, wine or spirit from the cocktail bar for an additional fee, in accordace with local law, we have a "Ship-Only" bar policy.
Blue Voyager provide diving from the dive dhoni boat, which provide comfort and function at the same time. All the equipment stay in the dive dhoni (compressors, tanks etc.) in order to keep the noise away from the main boat when filling the tanks.
Cabin
Blue Voyager has 13 guest cabins, it can welcome up to 26 guests.
All cabins equipped with air-conditioning, ensuite bathroom, in-cabin entertainment system, a mini fridge, storage spaces and charging station with 220v EU/UK sockets.
2 Premium Cabins (# 12, 13):
Located on the upper deck, each cabin comes with two single beds side by side, can be adjusted into a double bed when needed, seaview windows.
3 Classic Double Cabins (# 9 - 10):
Located on the main deck, each cabin comes with one large double bed, seaview windows.
8 Classic Twin Cabins (# 1 - 8):
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single beds side by side, portholes.
Diving
- 18 dives per week (1 night dive is included per week).
- No dive on the embarkation and disembarkation day.
- Only 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.
- All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

As the name of the itinerary indicates; it takes you to a selection of the best dive sites in the Maldives. Departure and arrival in the port of Male. You will dive around the atolls of North Male, Rashdoo, Ari, Meemu, Vaavu and South Male. Explore the pristine reefs, beautiful caves and overhangs, and experience thrilling shark dives.
Central Atolls :
This itinerary takes you to the highlights of the Central Atolls of the Maldives. Departure from and arrival at Male port. You will visit the following atolls: North and South Male, Felidhu, Rasdhoo, and Ari.
Best of the Central Atolls & Beyond :
This itinerary takes you to the best dive sites in the central part of the Maldives. You will get to visit the best dive sites around some of the following atolls: North and South Male, Felidhu, Meemu, Ari, Rasdhoo, North and South Nilandhoo, Baa and Lhaviyani.
Magical Maldives :
This itinerary takes you to the highlights of the Central Atolls of the Maldives. Departure from and arrival at Male port. You will visit the following atolls: North Male, Ari, Rasdhoo, and South Male, with the chance of manta ray, whale shark and shark sightings all year round.
Majestic Mantas :
This Majestic Mantas Maldives dive trip is an ideal opportunity to dive with mantas, eagle rays, and more! You will visit the atolls of North Male, Raa and Baa. Departure from and arrival at Male port. The Cruise Director and Captain plan the itinerary based on weather, currents and other local circumstances. Please note that this itinerary will most likely involve some diving in currents.
Pelagic Encounters :
This exciting itinerary takes you to the less travelled southern part of the Maldives: to Vaavu, in search of the larger pelagic fish. We will visit dive sites such as Fish Head, Miyaru Faru, Fotteyo Kandu (Vaavu Atoll), Kandooma Thila at South Male Atoll and Guraidhoo Kandu South etc. More channel diving is offered to maximise your chances of 'big fish' encounters and manta cleaning stations are also visited. There are chances of seeing whale sharks too.
Deep South / Deep South Sharks :
This itinerary takes you to the best dive sites in the southern part of the Maldives around Huvadhoo atoll. Departure and arrival: Gaafdhal. Domestic flight from Male to Kaadedhdhoo Airport is needed. Generally, the Maldives atolls situated further south do not experience as much heavy traffic as the northern atolls. This has allowed the marine life to flourish, together with the seasonal monsoons that bring an influx of nutrients to feed a great variety of corals and fish on these remote Maldives dive sites. Possible sightings include black tip sharks, white tip sharks, nurse sharks, sunfish (Mola mola), huge ocean manta ray, spotted eagle rays, whiptail stingrays, hawksbill turtles, and whale shark sightings.
The Best of the Northern & Central Atolls :
As the name of the itinerary indicates; it takes you to a selection of the best dive sites in the Maldives. Departure and arrival in the port of Male. You will dive around the atolls of North Male, Raa, Baa, Rashdoo, Ari, and South Male. The nutrient-rich waters in these areas make a perfect environment for manta rays to feed and there is also the possibility of shark and whale shark sightings on this fantastic underwater adventure.
The Best of the Northern Atolls :
As the name of the itinerary indicates; it takes you to a selection of the best dive sites in the Maldives. Departure and arrival in the port of Male. You will dive around the atolls of North Male, Baa, Raa, Noonu, and Lhaviyani. Enter a wonderful world of kandus, thilas and wrecks. There really is so much to explore in this 10-night diving adventure, with expected sightings of sharks, eagle rays, tuna, manta rays and whale sharks.
The Best of the Southern Atolls :
You will get to visit the best dive sites around the atolls of Huvadhoo, Laamu, Thaa, Meemu, Vaavu and South Male. Ports: Male to Gaafdhal or Gaafdhal to Male. Either upon arrival or departure, in order to get to/from Gaafdhal, we can organise for you a domestic flight to or from Kaadedhdhoo Airport to Male Airport.

Central Maldives
Best time for diving
December to April, Central Maldives is suitable for diving year-round, these months are the Northeast dry season, and it's the time for best visibility and weather condition.
The visibility range between 20 - 40 meters year-round. And the currents are usually mild to intermediate. Diving depth range from 10 - 40 meters.
About temperatures
Air : range between 27°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : very stable and warm, range from 28°C - 30°C year-round.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.
Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels, but to enjoy the best out of it, we recommend an AOW level with 30 dives.

North Maldives
Best time for diving
June to November, North Maldives offers great diving all year, especially in the Far North Atolls, you can expect sunny skies most of the year. And in Hanifaru Bay, each year during June to November is the famous cyclone feeding, which is a rare and spectacular event where over 100 manta rays can feed together and create a chain which the head of each manta ray touches the tail of the manta in front. This creates a huge spiral of up to 200 mantas along with their fellow plankton feeders the Whale Shark.

Sea : very stable and warm, range from 27°C - 29°C year-round.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Best time for diving
December to April offers the best visibility and sea conditions. Although short spells of heavy rainfall can be experienced during the summer months, but this region do offer good diving all year round.
About temperatures
Air : range between 28°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : very stable and warm, range from 27°C - 29°C year-round.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.
Diver requirement
Suitable for divers have AOW level with good drift diving experience, as there can be strong currents in the channels surrounding the islands.

For the Deep South Atolls (Laamu atoll, Gaafu Alifu atoll, Huvadhoo atoll, Fuvahmulah, Addu atoll), domestic flights are usually required to Addu atoll (GAN), Gaafu Alifu atoll (GKK), Huvadhoo atoll (KDM) or Fuvahmulah (FVM). Longer trips like 2 weeks might depart or return to Male.
