Itineraries

Exuma Cays

The Bahamas Aggressor will cruise through the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park bringing easy access to remote yet premier dive spots.

Departs from Nassau to explore the dramatic walls, lush coral reefs and exciting animal encounters.

The Exumas archipelago comprises more than 350 small islands and cays stretching over 120 miles from just south of new Providence to the anchor islands of Great and Little Exuma to the south. The Exuma Cays are a part of the more remote Out Islands of the Bahamas. The Cays are the most exotic of these islands, a collection of sandy jewels set in the aquamarine and sapphire of some of the most beautiful waters in the world along with an intriguing combination of walls and rich shallow reefs.

Night diving allows guests to experience an entirely different group of critters and bevy of behaviors not visible during the day. With all dives from the mothership, five dives a day are offered except for the last diving day.

All 7-night trips, diving begins Sunday morning and ends Friday before lunch when the Aggressor returns to port (one dive is offered Friday). The crew hosts a sunset cocktail party at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner ashore. Saturday morning at 8:00 am is check out. The Captain can assist guests with organizing transportation to the Nassau International Airport or a local hotel.

Throughout the week there will be opportunities to go ashore for swimming, snorkeling and beach combing.

Tiger Beach

The Tiger Beach itinerary is an exploration of the remote areas around the West End of Grand Bahama Island. This is a dedicated liveaboard trip with up to 5 dives per day offered.

The West End area is rarely visited by guests and is home to many creatures – both large (sharks and dolphins) and small (grouper, snapper, assorted other reef fish).

At least one afternoon during the trip will be dedicated to a dive at the area know as "Tiger Beach" where we will try to attract sharks using a "scent triangle" filled with bait. Both Caribbean Reef Sharks and Tiger Sharks are known to frequent the area.

Please note: All shark interactions on Aggressor Fleet yachts are natural, passive and observational in style. The Aggressor Fleet does not actively feed sharks nor chum the waters. Night dives are not offered on the site of Tiger Beach.

Duration: Trips are either 7 night trips or 10 night trips, please be sure you know which one you are on and the embark/disembark days. Boarding is at 4 pm and the yacht departs for the first anchorage at 6 pm. Everyone must be onboard by that time. Check out is at 8 am. Dinner is not included the last night of the trip, however, there is a restaurant at Old Bahama Bay Resort or guests can venture into Freeport.

West End Northern Adventure

Departs from Freeport and explores the west end of Grand Bahama and continues south to Bimini.

This unique 10-night itinerary to Tiger Beach and Bimini offers the best of both of these destination – both large (sharks and dolphins) and small (grouper, snapper, assorted other reef fish).

At least one afternoon during the trip will be dedicated to a dive at the area known as "Tiger Beach". Both Caribbean Reef sharks, Lemon Sharks and Tiger sharks are known to frequent the area.

In Bimini, guests will dive colorful coral reefs, sheer walls, shallow wrecks with plenty of sharks. Bimini is especially known for hammerhead sharks.

All diving onboard the Bahama Aggressor should be within the limits and standards of the training agency that certified you. All dives should be planned no decompression dives.

Overall, I am very pleased with my trip. The crew was very supportive and especially the food was amazing. I felt very happy and treated well. The diving was nice but I have some constructive feedback for that part. Mainly the locations they went to for diving were only two, which is not really what is advertised online. There they have a whole map with several more dive sites around Tiger Beach. From the itinerary and the information online they did lead me to believe we would actually go diving at the actual Tiger Beach. I can’t say I wasn’t disappointed we didn’t go there, as to me, that was the whole motivation for the liveaboard. So even while the diving was great, I booked on to specifically go to Tiger Beach and not only stick to two random dive sites where there was barely any tiger sharks at all. I wanted to see the tiger sharks, be in waters where there was at least two in my vicinity, so in that regards, they might want to change their itinerary description so people are aware they don’t dive at tier beach itself. Other than that, I cannot complain about much else. The company was great and we had amazing weather. It was a perfect trip to end my time in the Bahamas and I am actually looking forward to a future trip with Aggressor maybe somewhere else in the world. I do feel I got my money’s worth and more just based on the experience.

Overall a great trip but I probably won't be returning. We did the itinerary out of Nassau. In comparison to the other Aggressor boats, this one is really showing its age. In fact, it's one of the first. It doesn't have many of the modern amenities that many others have. The crew was awesome! Instructors/Guides Megan and Rachel and Captain Todd were awesome! Professional to the core and more than willing to make sure everyone was taken care of! The boat overall took safety very seriously. With the issues in the industry and aggressor with lithium batteries, they made sure to keep everyone informed on their procedures as a crew to put everyone at ease. All the diving is done from the main vessel so no Dinghy's are involved; they have one for emergencies though. I got a great deal from Johann and would only return if I got the same deal. The diving is not good. The washing machine dive was awesome but that is the only one that stands out; mostly due to the currents. Geologically the sites are beautiful; lots of swim throughs, walls, ledges, caves. However the reefs are dead. Very few fish and most of the reef is completely overgrown with algae. And where there are no small fish, not many big fish either.

This was the second time I have been on Aggressor boat. The first was the few years ago with Palau Aggressor. And this time Dive and Cruise gave us 25% discount from "Dive the world" promotion. My gf and I are budget divers, but with about few hundreds USD higher, the boat was much nicer. The cabin has its own sink, shower and toilet. Our cabin have a double bed with a single bunk above it. The rooms are bit small, but there was adequate storage for everything, so they were comfortable. The dive deck was nicely laid out. There are two showers on the back platform with hot water, and there is a hot tub on the sun deck and it was great for warming up quickly after a dive. The food was good and plentiful. A special nice touch was I am a vegetarian, and the chef had a special dish prepared just for me! The divnig was typical Bahamas diving with reefs, walls, a few wrecks, coral gardens. The coral is in terrific shape; lots of soft/hard coral on the walls and the guide always tried to let us see some unique sites. We dove lots of time with sharks around, was great! So if you are a diver on a budget, and want incredible value for your dive trip, this boat should be your best choice in Bahamas!
