Description

Boat

Atlantis Azores is a 32.61 meters long, 5.5 meters wide aluminum dive liveaboard built in 1989 and completely refit in 2012 and 2015. It cruises at 7 - 8 knots per hour.

Whichever exciting destination you choose you will get the most from your vacation. The facilities on board the Atlantis Azores has been set up for divers by divers, including modern safety features and lots of extras to make your dive holiday all you expect.

The main deck has a beautiful air conditioned salon with a wide selection of movies on our flat screen TV, a library, an assortment of board games and cards is also available.

Atlantis Azores offers essential dive equipment such as signal tubes, whistles and flashlights, as well as logo t-shirts, caps and other souvenirs.

Atlantis Azores proudly adhere to our principle of only serving freshly prepared meals and snacks. The snack and drink bar is open all day – featuring a Keurig cup brewing center with multiple choices. All drinks on board including social servings of beer, wine and local rum are complimentary. You may also bring your own beverages with no corkage fee.

The upper deck is partially shaded with chaise lounges, complete wet bar, hot tub, an assortment of sitting areas with tables and a large swim platform with warm freshwater showers.

The spacious dive deck allows you to gear up in comfort. A roomy three-tier camera table is available for photographers along with a charging station. All divers have their own storage area for dive equipment and there are fresh, hot water showers on the back platform.

Most dives are done from two zodiac tender boats with a short ride to dives sites. Our dive team will ensure you get the best from every dive. Technical diving and Rebreather diving is possible if pre-arranged.


Cabin

Atlantis Azores has 8 guest cabins, It can welcome up to 16 guests per trip:

All cabins feature ensuite lavatory, private head and shower, hairdryer and shower gel. As well as individually controlled air conditioned.

1 Suite Cabin :
Located on the upper deck, this cabin comes with double and single bunk-style berths, a desk, large picture windows and extensive storage space.

1 Deluxe Cabin :
Located on the lower deck, this cabin comes with double bed.

6 Deluxe Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with double and single bunk-style berths.


Diving

  • 4 - 5 dives per day, depending on conditions and route.
  • No night dives are allowed in the Tubbataha Marine Park.
  • No dive on the embarkation and disembarkation day.
  • Only 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.
  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

Tubbataha Reef is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and only accessible by liveaboard three months out of the year. These pristine reefs, located 100 miles offshore, are protected by rangers year round and made up of North and South Atolls and Jessie Beazley Reef. Divers can experience wonderful visibility and some of the best diving the Philippines has to offer from March until June each year.

Tubbataha Reefs Natural Parks is quite simply one of Asia's best diving spots and on the 'wish list' for most avid divers; its home to no less than 573 species of fish, 373 species of corals, 11 species of sharks, 12 species of dolphins and whales, nestling hawksbill and green sea turtle.


Bohol - The Visayas

Easy cruises each evening will take you from one great dive site to another. Apo Reef & Wrecks of Coron

Day 1 - 2: Apo Reef and Tara Islands
Day 3 - 4: Coron Wrecks
Day 5: Nanshin Maru Dimipac Island
Day 6: Kyokuszan Maru, then cruise back to Puerto Galera

This itinerary is to the sunken World War II wrecks of Coron Bay via Apo Reef. A typical charter starts with two days of exploring the 34 mile long reef system of Apo Reef, often referred to by many as a “mini-Tubbataha”.

The charter will start with in Anilao, this macro paradise is home to over 300 species of nudibranch. Secret Bay is one of the best dive locations for macro diving in the whole of the Philippines. We can also see schools of jacks, sweet lips and fusiliers around the famous twin rocks dive site.

Next will be the UNESCO World Heritage site of Apo Reef. A full days diving will take place here exploring some of the finest coral reefs in Asia. Expect to see white tip sharks, spotted eagle rays, hawksbill turtles, bump head parrot fish and sea snakes.


Malapascua – Cebu

Malapascua – Cebu charter offers some of the best diving in the Philippines, including Sumilon Island, Pescador Island & Malapascua’s Gato Island, home of a sea crate protected breeding sanctuary. This charter includes another Malapascua favorite, Monad Shoal, known for frequent sightings of thresher sharks as well as manta rays. In addition to these pelagic species, the Malapascua area offers a wide variety of critter diving not to mention abundant reefs and wall diving. Leaving Malapascua, we head to Calanggaman Island, one of Philippines most beautiful islands. Next we head to Bohol for again a wide variety of reef, wall & critter diving as well as some land tour opportunities for those so inclined. As a Grand Finale we finish the itinerary on the dramatic walls of Balicasag, one of our favorite dives. This itinerary is hard to beat if you want a wide variety of locations as well as incredible diving.

Coron and Apo Reef

Period : Liveaboards trips is possible year round. The dry season from November to June brings the warmest water and the best visibility.

Visa's : Most nationalities receive a 30-day free visa on arrival, Central Asia and India citizens need a visa before arriving. Please contact the embassy or consulate nearest you for more information.

Climat : The dry season is from late December through May, and the cooler wet season runs from June to November. Average daily temperature is around 29°C, and usually it ranges from 21/30°C to 25/34°C all year round.

Water : Average temperature is 27°C through most of the year.

Clothing : Light clothes and sun protection is essential while visiting, but a light jacket is good for possible cooler evenings, and rain covers for the wet season.

Plugs : Type A electrical plug most commonly found (but type B and C sometimes used) 220V @ 60Hz

Flights : International flights arrive directly to Manila, and Batangas can be reached within a few hours by car. And between Manila and Coron there are daily domestic flights too.

Currency : Local currency is Philippine Peso (PHP), other currencies can be easily changed at banks or money changers, and international ATM's are available. Credit Cards are widely accepted.


Visayas and Leyte

Period : Liveaboards trip can be offered from December to March.

Climat : There are generally 2 seasons in the Visayas: the rainy season from June to November, and the cool dry season from December to March. Typhoon season is from July to October. Average daily temperature around 28°C.

Water : Water temps stay upwards of 27°C through most of the year

Clothing : Light clothes and sun protection is essential while visiting, but a light jacket is good for possible cooler evenings.

Plugs : Type A electrical plug most commonly found (but type B and C sometimes used) 220V @ 60Hz

Climat : Average daily temperature range is 31°C year round. The rainy season is July to December (with the most storms generally in November and December) and the dry season is January to June.

Water : Water temperature averages from 27°C - 30°C. The hottest time of the year is March to May and the coolest is December to February when the water temperature may drop to 24°C - 26°C.

Clothing : Light clothes and sun protection is essential while visiting, early months can be slightly rainy.

Plugs : Type A electrical plug most commonly found (but type B and C sometimes used) 220V @ 60Hz.

Flights : International flights arrive to Manila, with daily domestic connections to Puerto Princesa.
