Description

Boat

Bahamas Master is a beautiful steel yacht measures 35m in length and 7.3m in breadth. With two engines onboard, it cruises at 10 knots per hour. It formerly known as Yemaya Liveaboard which provides diving tirp in the Malpelo. Now it has been refurbished and joined Master Liveaboard Fleet, and start her new diving life in the beautiful Bahamas.

Onboard, guests will enjoy communal relaxation areas on both upper and main deck. On the main deck, there is an indoor lounge with comfortable seats and sofas, Plasma screen TV, DVD, stereo player and an assortment of movies and books. A spacious dining area and galley is adjacent to the salon, chefs onboard will offer guests delicious meals in various styles from appetizer to dessert all with love.

On the upper deck, there is a spacious covered outdoor bar and a dinning area, as well as a sundeck for relaxation after the dives. The Captain will welcome you to join him at the fly-bridge, from where you can soak up the stunning views of the Bahamian islands.

Bahamas Master offer a choice of international and local cuisine, all meals are served in buffet style. In between the meals, there is always some tasty treats for you to pick up. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let our booking agents know, so we can put an note for you.

There is a range of fruit juices, balck/green herbal teas, carbonated soft drinks available any time of the day, as well as instant and freshly brewed coffee. Guests may also select beer, wine or spirit from the cocktail bar for an additional fee, in accordace with local law, we have a "Ship-Only" bar policy.

Bahamas Master provide divers a spacious and well equipped dive deck at the rear of the main deck. All guests will be allocated an individual set up location with under bench storage for masks, fins and other personal items. A central camera set up table can be used to store prepared equipment ahead of the dive, with dedicated rinse tanks provided.


Cabin

Bahamas Master has 8 comfortable cabins which can accommodate up to 16 guests.

All cabins equipped with hair dryer and bathrobe, airconditioner, wall fan, personal safe, storage area, and charging facilities (110 volt. US plug). All cabins have panoramic windows, so there is plenty of day light and ocean view for all.

1 Premium Cabin (#7) :
Located on the main deck, this spacious cabin comes with a double bed and a single bed as well as a private en-suite bathroom, picture windows.

1 Premium Cabin (#8) :
Located on the main deck, this spacious cabin comes with a fixed double bed and a private en-suite bathroom, picture windows.

2 Classic Twin Cabins (#5 & 6):
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single bunk beds in "L" shape, ensuite bathroom, picture windows.

4 Standard Cabins (#1 - 4) :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single beds in "L" shape, picture windows. These cabins will share one "ensuite bathroom" between two cabins. This is easily done by the bathrooms having two doors, one for each cabin with direct access, with heated shower.


Diving

  • 4 to 5 dives per day, depends on the itinerary/condition.
  • No dive on the embarkation and disembarkation day.
  • Only 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.
  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.
  • Supports all types of totally closed-circuit rebreathers (CCR)

Expect to see lots of sharks including hammerheads, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, tiger sharks, and even bull sharks, as well as dolphins, rays, grouper, turtles and octopus. Other dive sites include Hawksbill Reef where the turtles rest at 15 meters on the sandy bottom and Alice Island where you can dive with over 50 sting rays and experience the fast and agile black nose shark.

This 10 night liveaboard adventure allows up to 30 dives including several night dives (depending on conditions). In some areas, such as Tiger Beach, the diving is comparatively shallow and 'open platform' diving may be offered after the scheduled shark dives to allow guests to dive at their leisure up until sunset. This does not apply to Bimini Islands.


ULTIMATE BAHAMAS | 15D/14N

The Ultimate Bahamas Experience covers the best of the West End of Grand Bahama Island as well as Cat Island and Pig Beach to the southeast. Expect to see lots of sharks including oceanic whitetip, hammerheads, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, tiger sharks, even bull sharks, and swimming and/or snorkelling with pigs!

This 14 night liveaboard adventure allows up to 4 dives per day including several night dives (depending on conditions). In some areas the diving is comparatively shallow and 'open platform' diving may be offered in the afternoon to allow guests to dive at their leisure up until sunset. This does not apply to Cat Island.

Tiger Beach

Best time for diving
October - May, as there is a greater likelihood of great hammerheads, bull sharks. But tiger sharks, lemon sharks, nurse shars and Caribbean reef sharks are seen at Tiger Beach year-round. The visibility can be great at times with 60 meters clarity, current is usually mild tidal flow.

About temperatures
Air : winter months are between 18°C - 27°C, summer months are between 24°C - 33°C.
Sea : winter months are between 23°C - 26°C, summer months are between 28°C - 29°C.

Wetsuit Recommendation
Divers are required to wear a full-length wetsuit (3mm for summer months, 5mm for winter months) as well as a hood, gloves, and dive socks (to cover ankles). Dive equipment must be dark in color, no white or yellow dive gear (Yellow second-stage hoses are permitted and are not a problem).

Diver requirement
Shark diving can be a potentially dangerous sport and so divers should be should be fully comfortable with their skills in the water. We recommend divers should have OW with min 30 dives as the minimum. You can find out more informations about diving in The Tiger Beach here : Tiger Beach

Embarkation / Disembarkation
The embarkation and disembarkation for most liveaboards are in Nassau, Bahamas. Guests need to fly to/from Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS).

For liveaboards are departing from Florida, USA. Guests may fly to/from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI).

Exuma Cays

Best time for diving
December - April for the most shark actions. You can dive year round in the Exumas, the water is very warm and settled throughout the year. However, diving conditions could be susceptible to weather during the hurricane season which runs from June to November. The visibility is usually between 20m to 50m. Most areas will have Shark Feeding dives available and most liveaboards will do at least one in the week.

A famous event - “The March of the Spiny Lobster” happens between late Oct until mid Nov near the Andros. The lobsters are usually found solitary on the reef like the groupers but gather in huge numbers. As a diver you can get very close and they will even march over you if you lie down in their way.

Wetsuit Recommendation
In the winter months, a 3 - 5 mm wetsuit is recommended. In summer months a skin or 3 mm shorty is recommended. Please consider in the Exumas area, you will have the opportunity to dive as many as 5 times a day on most of the liveaboards.

Bimini

Best time for diving
All year round, depends what you want to see. The great hammerhead sharks begin to congregate off of Bimini from January, and stay till March. Grouper spawning can be seen in late January and early February. Bull sharks and nurse sharks are more frequently seen from December to March. Tunas migrate in Bimini happens from March to May. And the summer months is best time for Atlantic spotted dolphins and bottlenose dolphins.

Bimini offers an great diversity of dive sites : coral reefs, walls, shipwrecks, blue holes, caverns... The visibility range from 25 - 30 meters, currents can be very strong at times.
