Boat

Majestic Explorer is a professional dive liveaboard yacht runs by Explorer Ventures Fleet, it is 36 meters long, 7 meters wide, with max. cruising speed at 10 knots per hour. It is the newest dive liveaboard in the Galapagos Islands.

Majestic Explorer features partially covered sun deck with a jacuzzi and a large lounge area with ample seating, and a bar.

There is a beautiful lounge with separated dining area and entertainment area on the main deck, equipped with TV, stereo, Book/Magazine/CD/DVD/Table games library for entertainment as well as a self-service bar that provide water, tea, coffee all day long.

Aboard the Majestic Explorer, lunch and evening meals usually consist of lots of salad, potatoes, rice, chicken, beef, pork, and fish. Breakfast is the usual fare of eggs, cereal, toast and fresh fruits. If you have any dietary restrictions or requests, please let our Dive and Cruise agent know, so we will put a note for you.

Majestic Explorer's large dive deck is also located on the back of the main deck, includes a bathroom, large camera table with charging station, individual storage areas, rinse bins for cameras and another for gear. Diving operations are conducted from two large pangas (tenders), easily boarded from the dive deck

Cabin

Majestic Explorer has 8 deluxe guest cabins, it can accommodate up to 16 guests per trip:

All cabins have ensuite bathroom, individual A/C, flat screen televisions, ample storage, dressers, closet, reading lamps, smoke alarm and alarm system, electricity outlets.

2 Deluxe Cabins (#8 - #9) :
Located on the main deck, each cabin comes with one queen size double bed, seaview windows.

2 Deluxe Cabins (#6 - #7) :
Located on the main deck, each cabin comes with two single beds side by side, it can be converted to a queen bed for couples if needed, seaview windows.

4 Deluxe Cabins (#1 - #4) :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single beds side by side, it can be converted to a queen bed for couples if needed, portholes.

Diving

• 3 dives per day + alternating additional sunset/night dives.

• Usually 8D/7N diving trip will offer 18 - 20 dives in total.

• 1 Check dive will be provided on the embarkation day.

• Only 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.

• No dive will be provided on the day of disembarkation.

• All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

• Divers must have AOW level with at least 100 logged dives.

Galapagos Sample Itinerary

Dat 1: Baltra (1 Check Dive)
Guests fly to the Galapagos Islands from Mainland Ecuador, arriving in the late morning. The dive guides will meet the guests at the airport and escort them to the Majestic Explorer.

Guests will board the vessel, have lunch and listen to the briefings. After the briefings, the guests will do a check out dive at Punta Carrion. After dinner the vessel will depart to the next scheduled destination.

Dat 2: Balta North (2 Dives)
6:30 and 9:30 dives, sightings include rays and schools of fish.
Afternoon North Seymour land visit. Walk the path around North Seymour Island to see the large colonies of Blue Footed Boobies and Frigate Birds. Sighting of Sea Lions and Marine Iguanas are also common. Then depart for Western Islands. (long transit).

Dat 3: Cabo Douglas (2 Dives)
Sightings include marine iguanas. Transit to Punta Vicente Roca, Punta Vicente Roca (2 Dives), Sightings often include mola mola, turtles and macro life. Depart for Northern Islands (long transit).

Dat 4: Wolf Island (4 Dives)
6:30, 10:30. 2:00 and 4:30 dives. Possible night dive. Sightings often include hammerheads, whale shark (in season), eagle rays, sea lions, Galapagos sharks and silky sharks.

Dat 5: Darwin Island (4 Dives)
6:30, 10:30, 2:00 and 4:30 dives, sightings often include hammerheads, whale sharks (in season) eagle rays, Galapagos sharks and silky sharks. Transit to Wolf Island

Dat 6: Wolf Island (3 Dives)
6:30, 9:00 and 11:00 dives, sightings often include hammerheads, whale sharks (in season), eagle rays, Galapagos sharks and silky sharks. Long transit to Cousin’s Rock (20+ hours)

Dat 7: Cousin’s Rock (1-2 Dives)
6:30 and 9:30 dives (number of dives dependent on travel time from Wolf Island) This is a great macro diving with an excellent chance of seeing sea horses, sea lions and eagle rays. Lunch will be served while transiting to Santa Cruz (3 hours).

Travel by bus to the Santa Cruz Highlands to visit the giant tortoises in their natural habitat. Transfer to the town of Puerto Ayora. Dinner on your own in Puerto Ayora. Return to the Majestic Explorer at 8:30pm.

Dat 8: Baltra Island
Depart the vessel by 9 am. Transfer to the airport.

About Arrival :
Transfers within the Galapagos are included in your package for same day arrivals on the island of departure for the vessel. You will be met at the airport in Galapagos by one of our tour guides.

If you miss any of your flights and are not able to make it to Ecuador or the Galapagos on schedule, please contact Galasam, our Ecuadorian partner, at 011-593-99703-1382 or 011-593-99529-7471 and notify them of your updated arrival time should you have that information, and where you may be reached in the meantime.

The vessel will leave port at approximately 2:00pm. Retrieving lost luggage after the vessel departs on charter is impossible. It can be retrieved when the vessel returns to port at the end of the charter.

About Departure :
The vessel return back to port on Friday evening (the day before disembarkation), the last dinner of the cruise is on the island and is not included in the price of the trip. Transportation is organized and included for transfer to the airport.
