This was our first trip on the White Manta. Our dive trip was outstanding, very impressive operation and professional crews....we will be back for more.... Highly recommend to new and seasonal divers...

Description

Boat

Raja Manta formerly known as White Manta, is a solid 37m long, 7.5m wide steel range diving support vessel. It was launched in March 2011, a very stable and runs on twin 700hp Cummins engines. All Captains, boat crew and dive crew have many years of experience in the waters surrounding the Thailand Andaman Sea and South China Sea.

Raja Manta carries 2x 450 liter L&W compressors; one equipped with an air cooler and a Nitrox membrane system, As well as 20 tonnes of fresh water and two water makers. With two large dinghies, rest assured for your safety when diving in strong currents. Since her launch in April 2011, she continues to impress new and existing guests alike with her spaciousness and comfort.

Raja Manta features a comfortable 500sq feet indoor salon on the upper deck, there is a sofa set, 42" plasma TV with 500 movies instore. There is also an indoor dining area adjacent to the salon.

Outside of the salon is the a 600sq feet outdoor dining area, it has a table with power points to charge your cameras (also in saloon & cabin) and drawers to keep your logbooks.

Raja Manta‘s sundeck, with 1,000sq feet in size, it offer guests comfortable outdoor relaxing area, it has some deck chairs for sunbath, and mattress for massage or a "under sun nap".

The dive deck is spacious and well equipped with personal gear lockers and in place fill station. A camera table with low pressure air hose and a rinse tanks are conveniently located for washing dive equipment and cameras. The aft of the dive deck is equipped with two ladders exit, a fin storage and two freshwater shower.

Raja Manta has 14 crew members will take care of your needs all day and night, plus 4 dive crew (1 cruise leader and 3 instructor) will make your experience magic.


Cabin

Raja Manta has 11 morden & comfortable guest cabins, it can accommodate maximum 22 guests per trip:

All ensuite cabins are on main deck and upper deck have amber storage space for luggage with camera table. A spacious toilet with hot water shower. Aircon with individual control, cabin also have large window that can be open, outlets for charging electrical devices.

2 King-Size Suites (Cabin 1, 2):
Located on the upper deck, each comes with a king size double bed(2.00m x 1.80m) or two single beds(2.00m x 0.9m), ensuite bathroom, large seaview window.

2 King-Size Suites (Cabin 3, 4):
Located on the main deck, each comes with a king size double bed(2.00m x 1.80m), ensuite bathroom, large seaview window.

1 Deluxe Twin Cabin (Cabin 5):
Located on the main deck, with 4 single beds(bed size 2.00m x 1.00m), ensuite bathroom, use as twin share cabin, large window.

1 Deluxe Twin Cabin (Cabin 6):
Located on the main deck, with 2 single beds(2.00m x 1.00m), ensuite bathroom, large window.

3 Deluxe Twin Cabin (Cabin 7, 8):
Located on the main deck, with 3 single beds(2.00m x 1.00m), ensuite bathroom, use as twin share cabin, large window.

2 Standard Twin Cabins (9, 10):
Located on the lower deck, each comes with 2 single beds(2.00m x 1.00m), wash basin, portholes that can open, use shared bathrooms.

1 Standard Twin Cabins (11):
Located on the lower deck, each comes with 2 set of bunk beds (2.00m x 1.00m), wash basin, portholes that can open, use as twin share cabin, use shared bathrooms.

There are 5 common toilet with shower :
2 on main deck, 2 below deck (for Standard Cabin guests Only), 1 on upper deck


Diving

  • 3 dives per day + alternating additional night dives.
  • No dive on the embarkation and disembarkation day.
  • Only 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.
  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

Sangalaki Itinerary 7D/6N

Day 1 (0 -2 dives)
Land transfer from Berau Airport to Tg. Batu pier. Sail to Derawan. Warm welcome, briefing, and dinner; If everyone arrives earlier we may have time for a Check dive & Night dive? (Cruise Leaders decision is final)

Day 2 (4 dives)
Diving around Sangalaki & Kakaban, looking for Manta Rays, Turtles & More!

Day 3 (4 dives)
Diving around Kakaban & visiting the stunning Fresh Water Jelly Fish Lake

Day 4 (4 dives)
Diving around Maratua Island, Big Fish and hunting Action, sightings of Thresher sharks possible!

Day 5 (4 dives)
Diving around Maratua Island Huge schools of Barracuda and shark sightings along the current swept walls

Day 6 (2 dives)
Diving around Sangalaki Island, then sail back to Tg Batu Port (sailing time 3 hours). Last night sleeping on Raja Manta in the harbour.

Day 7 (0 dives)
6am-12pm. Check out after breakfast, farewells, and transfer to local hotel or airport. Transfer to airport or local hotel.


Raja Ampat 8D/7N Trip

(schedules are subjected to changes according to weather and sea condition)

Day 1 (0 - 1 dives)
5pm; arrival from Jakarta, Ujung Pandang, or Manado to Sorong. Our staff will meet you at Sorong Airport and take you to the awaiting Raja Manta. Depending on arrival time we can do check dive.

Day 2 (4 dives)
Nudi Rock, Tank Rock, Whale Rock, & night dive

Day 3 (3 dives)
Misool; Boo Corner, The Window, Magic Mountain, sail over night to North Raja Ampat

Day 4 (4 dives)
Yanggefo Island; Mayhem Ridge, Citrus ridge, Deep rock, & night dive

Day 5 (4 dives)
Mansuar Corner, Manta Sandy, Cape Kri, & night dive

Day 6 (3-4 dives)
Mike Point, Sardine reef, Manta Spa, & night dive

Day 7 (2 dives)
Blue Magic, Mioskon. Then sail back to Sorong Port. Plenty of time to wash & dry equipment, have lunch, and rest & relaxation.

Day 8 (0 dives)
5am-12pm. Check out after breakfast, farewells, and transfer to airport. Departure from Sorong to Manado/ Makassar/ Jakarta/ Denpasar.


Ambon, Banda Island, Ring of Fire 9D/8N Trip

(schedules are subjected to changes according to weather and sea condition)

Day 1 (1- 2 dive)
Our staff will meet you at Ambon Airport and take you to the awaiting Blue Manta. Depending on arrival time, we can do Check dive plus night dive in Ambon Bay. After critter dive(s) we sail overnight to Banda.

Day 2 (3 - 4 dives)
Nusa Laut dives. Sail to Banda Islands

Day 3 (4 dives)
Banda Island; Palau Ai, Batu Kapal, Karang Hatta, Pulau Keraka; excellent visibility, fantastic coral coverage and tremendous numbers of fish along with potential Hammerhead sightings.

Day 4-7. (3-4 dives x4 days)
Ring of Fire, South Banda, & Forgotten Islands diving around Volcanic Islands and stunning seamounts in search of hammerheads & other pelagic superstars.

Day 8 (2 dives)
Nusa Laut or Ambon Bay. Sail back to Ambon.

Day 9 (0 dives)
6am-12pm. Check out after breakfast, farewells, and transfer to airport. Take your pre-booked flight to Ujung Pandang (aka Makassar), Jakarta or Singapore

If you're looking for a great liveaboard dive experience, then White Manta is the best choice. With great crew, lovely food, a fabulous boat and well organised trips, what more could you ask for?! A massage? You got it! We always have a great time with the White Manta crew and looking forward to our next trip!
