Description

Boat

Maldives Aggressor II is a 41 metres long, 8.5 meters wide spacious and professional dive yacht, it is diesel-powered, cruises at 12 knots, built to Lloyd’s Registry and American Bureau of Shipping Standards, it has 110 volt and 220 volt at the camera charging and computer stations. For other areas, it provide 110 volt, we suggest guests bring USA 110 to 220 twin pin socket adaptors.

Maldives Aggressor II features a beautiful spacious salon with separate dining room on the mian deck, there is an entertainment center includes a TV, DVD and music player and an assortment of movies, games. If you have a favorite movie, digital presentation or a video to share, we encourage you to bring it along. The crew especially loves new releases of movies, recent magazines and books. A small library of books for exchange is maintained onboard as well as fish identification books for reference.

The menu aboard is varied and plentiful with American feasts and local cuisine. If you have any special dietary requirements, please tell our booking agent know, so the chef can adequately prepare to meet your needs.

Maldives Aggressor II's beverages selection includes fruit juices, soft drinks, iced water, iced tea, coffee, and a limited selection of local beer and wine, which are complimentary. Once you consume alcohol, you become a snorkeler until the next day.

On the top sun deck, there is a shaded seating area with open view on the sea, and for those who enjoy the sun there are cushioned benches for relaxation. In addition, there is an hot jacuzzi located on the back of the top sun deck.

Maldives Aggressor II comes with a "diving dhoni", all dives are carried out from this dhoni. Every diver will have his own seat and his own basket where he will store his diving gear, which will always remain on the diving dhoni. The system leaves the main boat free to handle accommodations, meals and social activities in a quiet atmosphere.


Cabin

Maldives Aggressor II has 11 guest cabins and it can welcome 22 guests :

All staterooms have ensuite bathrooms with shower, closet, porthole, hairdryers and individual AC climate control.

2 Deluxe Staterooms (Cabin No.10 - No.11) :
Located on the upper deck, room size 14-15 sqm, each cabin comes with a queen-size double bed (63 x 80 inches), private bathroom and picture window.

2 Deluxe Staterooms (Cabin No.8 - No.9) :
Located on the upper deck, room size 14-15sqm, each cabin comes with two single beds side by side (39 x 80 inches) that can be combined into a king bed (78 x 80 inches), private bathroom and picture window.

1 Suite Stateroom (Cabin No.7):
Located on the main deck, room size 29sqm, this cabin comes with a queen-size double bed (63 x 80 inches), private bathroom and a panorama window.

6 Twin Staterooms (Cabin No.1 - No.6) :
Located on the lower deck, room size around 18sqm, each cabin comes with two twin beds side by side (39 x 80 inches), private bathroom and portholes.


Diving

Best of the Maldives

Offers 7 and 10-nights with 4 different itineraries that includes the areas of: North Male, South Male, North Ari, South Ari, Vaavu and Rasdhoo which includes spectacular channel-drift dives, wrecks, pinnacles and world famous night dives.

Guests will embark and dismark from Male. Guests may dive up to 18 dives during the week on the 7-night itinerary and up to 27 dives on a 10-night itinerary.

Southern Hemisphere

Offers 7 and 10-night charters with 3 different itineraries to choose from. The itinerary for this Maldives liveaboard scuba diving trip will include South Male, Vaavu, Meemu, Laamu, Thaa, Huvadhoo, Foammulah and Addu. This itinerary will include mostly channel dives and offers exciting marine life such as pelagics, reef sharks, whale sharks, oceanic mantas and occasionally tiger sharks and hammerhead sharks.

Guests will either board the boat in Male and end in Addu or board in Addu and end in Male. On both outbound and inbound routes a one way domestic flight will be required at GAN International Airport located in Addu Atoll (GAN).

Deep South

16 - 18 dives / 6 diving days / 7 nights aboard

"Deep South" Male/Lammu - Guests will need to purchase 1 one-way domestic flights: Laamu (KDO) back to Malé (charter ends in Addu).

ARRIVAL& BOARDING

Each itinerary has a different embark/disembark island/port/atoll depending on the itinerary you are traveling on. Domestic flights may be involved prior and post your charter week.

Guests will be met at the airport by a crewmember of the Maldives Aggressor II wearing an Aggressor polo shirt and hat at 3:30 pm and then transferred by water taxi (complimentary) to the yacht at 4 pm.

We strongly recommend to arrive at least one day prior to the charter start date and to stay in either a hotel or resort in the Malé area or, our Aggressor Adventure department has many other wonderful choices of places to stay on other islands for extended stays.

All guests must be onboard by 5 pm on all itineraries so the yacht can depart for its first night anchorage with the first dive the following morning.

Malé International Airport: If your trip embarks from Malé and you arrive early in the morning, you are encouraged to either get a day room at one of the local hotels or wait at the Coffee Club located just outside the arrivals hall, where the staff will greet you at 3:30 pm and transfer you by water taxi to the yacht at 4 pm. The Maldives Aggressor II anchors in the Hulhumale Lagoon, which is a 15-minute boat ride from the airport.

All Other Domestic Airports: Flights are not included. It is reccommended that all guests arrive on flights after 12 pm noon. Guests will be met at the domestic airport by an Aggressor representative for transfer at 3:30 pm. All guests will be transferred by water taxi and must be onboard the yacht by 5pm.


Taxes & Fees

Each guest must pay a Port Fee of USD $340 for a 7-night cruise or $425 for a 10-night cruise. And fuel surcharge of $225 (7-nights) or $300 (10-nights)

Thses fees must be paid at the end of the charter when settling your bill. The fees include the Green Tax, GST, park and other local usage fees.

Best time for diving
December to April, Central Maldives is suitable for diving year-round, these months are the Northeast dry season, and it's the time for best visibility and weather condition.
The visibility range between 20 - 40 meters year-round. And the currents are usually mild to intermediate. Diving depth range from 10 - 40 meters.

About temperatures
Air : range between 27°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : very stable and warm, range from 28°C - 30°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels, but to enjoy the best out of it, we recommend an AOW level with 30 dives.

North Maldives

Best time for diving
June to November, North Maldives offers great diving all year, especially in the Far North Atolls, you can expect sunny skies most of the year. And in Hanifaru Bay, each year during June to November is the famous cyclone feeding, which is a rare and spectacular event where over 100 manta rays can feed together and create a chain which the head of each manta ray touches the tail of the manta in front. This creates a huge spiral of up to 200 mantas along with their fellow plankton feeders the Whale Shark.

Sea : very stable and warm, range from 27°C - 29°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels, but to enjoy the best out of it, we recommend an AOW level with 30 dives. For the Far North Atolls, currents can be strong with choppy wave action, we recommend only for experienced divers.

December to April offers the best visibility and sea conditions. Although short spells of heavy rainfall can be experienced during the summer months, but this region do offer good diving all year round.

Sea : very stable and warm, range from 27°C - 29°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
Suitable for divers have AOW level with good drift diving experience, as there can be strong currents in the channels surrounding the islands.
