Boat

Yasawa Princess is a 54.85 meters long, 11 meters wide steel yacht built in 1984 and refurbished in 2007 and 2019. It has been owned and operated under Maldivian management by Deep Blue Centers since 2012. It was designed to serve above and beyond your expectations.

Yasawa Princess comes with a comfortable saloon deck opens up to a dining area large enough to accommodate 56 pax. The warm wood decor along with careful lighting brings a cozy intimate mood to the spacious area. A fine variety of both local and international cuisine is prepared adding more exotic treats to your cruise. We also arrange private dining ashore on the excursion islands.

The resident bar in the dining area offers a wide selection of fine wines, cocktails and spirits, and a variety of beer.

You will also enjoy the sun deck equipped with sun beds and loungers laid out to welcome all guests.

There is an additional Forward Lounge in the air condition with a cocktail, browse through our library and catch up on some reading, watch videos, or mingle and make some new holiday friends.

Yasawa Princess served in the cosy informal dining area. Dining are delicious, buffet style meals, offering A fine variety of both local and international cuisine is prepared adding more exotic treats to your cruise. We also arrange private dining ashore on the excursion islands. If you have allergies to certain food items please inform us at the time of booking so that we can inform our Chefs.

Yasawa Princess have a Dive Boat (max- 16 pax) to take you on your scheduled dive trips. Dive equipment will be available for rental throughout your cruise, and we make sure that all equipment is thoroughly checked and followed through with all standard safety programs. All of your dives will be supervised by a dive master or instructor, and less experienced will be guided in groups.


Cabin

Yasawa Princess has 28 guest cabins in total, it can welcome up to 56 guests:

All Cabins onboard have ensuite bathroom, centralized air conditioning system with individual fan controls for temperature control, mini safe, general BS 1363 three-pin (rectangular) UK plug points with 220v.

7 Ocean View Suites:
Located on the upper deck, 10.68 m² in size, each cabin comes with one double bed or two single beds side by side, seaview windows.

7 Deluxe Suites:
Located on the main deck, 13.19 m² in size, each cabin comes with one double bed or two single beds side by side, seaview windows.

14 Standard Cabins:
Located on the lower deck, 10.87 m² in size, each cabin comes with one double bed or two single beds side by side, portholes.


Diving

  • 17 dives per week (1 night dive is included per week).
  • No dive on the embarkation and disembarkation day.
  • Only 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.
  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.
  • Fishing activities are available during the cruise (include night fishing)

Itineraries

Best of Central Atolls

The Itinerary is designed for both Snorkelers and Divers covering the best in the region. Highlights Include Alimathaa night snorkeling experience with Nurse Sharks, Sting Rays and Giant Travallys. Whaleshark Excursion on the southern edge of Ari atoll and Manta Ray Excusion. During the cruise we will visit Sand Banks, Deserted Islands, Picnic and Local Islands.

The cruises are from Monday to Monday for non-stop 14 nights. Guests staying for 7 nights will need to take domestic flight on Day 8 to or from Male to Maamagili.

Central Maldives

Best time for diving
December to April, Central Maldives is suitable for diving year-round, these months are the Northeast dry season, and it's the time for best visibility and weather condition.
The visibility range between 20 - 40 meters year-round. And the currents are usually mild to intermediate. Diving depth range from 10 - 40 meters.

About temperatures
Air : range between 27°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : very stable and warm, range from 28°C - 30°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels, but to enjoy the best out of it, we recommend an AOW level with 30 dives.

The embarkation / disembarkation for Central Maldives cruise will be in Malé, guests need to fly in/out to Velana International Airport (MLE).

Visa Requirements
A 30 days tourist visa is granted for all nationalities on arrival to Maldives. This period of stay is not for the visitor to claim, but lies at the discretion of the Maldives Immigration to grant any number of days less than or equal to 30. Please refer to Maldives Tourist Visa for details.

Vaccinations
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers over the age of 9 months arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.

Money Matters
The local currency is the Maldivian Rufiyaa (Rf), all liveaboards accept cash payments in USD or EUR.
Most travel-related costs will be billed in the major global currencies such as USD, EUR, as well as credit cards. The ATMs will only provide cash in Maldivian Rufiyaa.

Drones
Flying a drone is legal in the Maldives, but we recommend being aware of and compliant with the drone regulations. Please check Maldives Civil Aviation Authority for details.

North Maldives

Best time for diving
June to November, North Maldives offers great diving all year, especially in the Far North Atolls, you can expect sunny skies most of the year. And in Hanifaru Bay, each year during June to November is the famous cyclone feeding, which is a rare and spectacular event where over 100 manta rays can feed together and create a chain which the head of each manta ray touches the tail of the manta in front. This creates a huge spiral of up to 200 mantas along with their fellow plankton feeders the Whale Shark.

Air : range between 27°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : very stable and warm, range from 27°C - 29°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
