Boat
Scubaspa ZEN was built in 2012 and refit in 2020, it is a 53 meters long and 9.5 meters wide three-expansive phinisi sailing vessel, crafted by the Konjo boat builder’s tribe from South Sulawesi.
Designed to thrill divers and spa enthusiasts alike, stepping into the extraordinary facilities onboard discover an essence of ancient romantic traditions enriched with modern design and technology, and embark on a unique way to experience untouched environments in some of the world’s most captivating destinations.
Scubaspa ZEN has highly trained chefs cater to all tastes and dietary requirements with a varied selection of gourmet cuisine. Guests enjoy three buffet-style meals daily, complete with a live cooking station, served in the spacious al fresco restaurant on the main deck. Enjoy breakfast whilst watching the sunrise, relax in the sun over a leisurely lunch, and dine under the stars, all complemented by a carefully curated global selection of wines and champagnes. On all cruises, guests experience a desert island barbecue as it should be-on a picture-perfect sandy beach, the azure blue water gently caressing the shoreline, and the day's catch on the grill.
The welcoming bar is located adjacent to the restaurant, facing the bow and opening onto a shaded lounge deck. Choose from an extensive selection of fine wines and champagnes, or indulge in one of our exotic cocktails created by our skilled bartender. A wide range of spirits, cordials, and beer are available to complete your perfect day.
The Asian style spacious spa onboard Scubaspa ZEN Indonesia offers extraordinary service and can accommodate couples for treatments. In our five-star spa facility, we invite our guests to embark on a delightful sensorial journey. Our spa is located at the stern of the vessel in the quietest and secluded part of the boat where we offer a wide range of classic and signature spa treatments.
Scubaspa ZEN has its own diving Dhoni dive boat, just like the ones in the Maldives. This ensures Scubaspa ZEN vessel stays dry and is undisturbed by noise and activity. The diving Dhoni is 21m in length and carries all the equipment, including air and state-of-the-art Nitrox membrane compressors. Purpose-built for comfort with ample seating, multiple entry points, and toilet and shower facilities, our diving dhoni elevates your liveaboard diving holiday to true luxury.
Cabin
Scubaspa ZEN has 9 luxurious cabins, it can accommodate up to 20 guests :
All cabins have spacious en-suite bathroom, Air conditioning, reading lights, desk, wardrobe, and area able to offer private spa treatment in cabin.
The unique design of these cabins features the highest quality materials such as black teak and Slatelite stone panels. Each of the cabins has unique decorations handmade in Bali and a one-of-a-kind sink made of fossilised wood, marble or onyx.
Please Note : For single guest, there will be a 25% single supplement fee, as they do not accept unknown guests to share cabins.
1 Manta Suite:
Located in the stern of the main deck, this suite is 60-square meters with an overwater lounge with panoramic ocean views, a king-size double bed. The living space has a sofa that can be used as an extra bed for an additional guest. An Ipad and portable speaker are provided with a wide selection of music. Private dining is available in the cabin.
1 Cowrie Suite:
Located in the mid-section of the main deck, this 20-square meter suite comes with beds that can be set up as twin beds or one queen bed and an additional sofa that converts to a third bed.
1 Dolphin Suite:
Located in the mid-section of the main deck, this unique 18-square meter suite comes with beds that can be set up as twin beds or one queen bed as well as a small writing desk.
6 Sea Star Suite:
Located on the lower deck, These suites are 16-square meters and are equipped with beds that can be configured as twin or double beds. Each of these cabins has a writing desk, sofa.
Diving
- 3 dives per day + alternating additional night dives.
- No dive on the embarkation and disembarkation day.
- Only 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.
- All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.
- Divers should be at least AOW level with minimum 50 dives.

Please note : The exchanging of dives to spa treatments within a package is not available. The Scuba Holiday Package is only available for Advance Open Water certified divers. Those who have selected the Scuba Holiday Package may book chargeable spa treatments, depending on availability.
We require a minimum dive experience of 50 logged dives at Komodo and Forgotten Islands expedition and 30 logged dives on Raja Ampat expedition, and a minimum certification level Advanced Open water or similar. If you have less than above minimum logged dives, we can arrange a private dive guide for you if the booking is made a minimum of one month before departure. This extra service is at additional cost and subject to availability.

Check-in:
Embarkation starts at 14:00 PM. Guests are requested to book their flight tickets accordingly based on our flight suggestion. Please note the arrival day is solely dedicated to collecting all guests from the airport, thus neither sailing nor activities such as diving, snorkelling or spa treatments are scheduled or organized.
Check-out:
We have standard airport transfers scheduled at 8.45 AM at the latest. The dive boat will transfer all guests to the nearest airport from the disembarkation area.

Useful information
Raja Ampat
Best time for diving
Mid October to April, the wind then picks up in May until the end of August, causing rougher seas and this means Misool area in the south will be shut from June to September. From July until September the diving in the north still can be enjoyable. The visibility can vary from 10 - 30 meters, current can be from mild to strong at times.
About temperatures
Air : fairly constant between 25°C - 31°C year-round.
Sea : it is warm all year round, about 27°C - 31°C
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.
Diver requirement

Embarkation / Disembarkation
Most of the embarkation / disembarkation will be in Sorong (SOQ).
Few liveaboards also departs from Waisai (RJM).
The easiest to fly through to & from Sorong (SOQ) via Jakarta (CGK), Makassar (UPG), Bali (DPS), or Manado (MDC).
Visa Requirements
Indonesia offers a free visa on arrival service for many nationalities which allows visitors to stay in the country for up to 30 days. A list of countries that are eligible for visa on arrival can be found on the Indonesian Government's Directorate General of Immigration.

Komodo
Best time for diving
May to October, the weather in Komodo is at its best between April and November. During the wet season (December to March) the weather can get a bit windy, with heavy quick rains, sometimes can cause rough surface conditions. However, liveaboards run trips here year-round.
The visibility in the North is excellent at 30 meters or even more, while it ranges between 10-15 meters in the South.
Some dive sites can have significant currents, whirlpools and see downdrafts. Sea conditions might change very quickly. Other dive sites are more quiet and rich in macro, especially in the South.
About temperatures
Air : range between 23°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : in the North Komodo it can be around 26°C -27°C, while it gets colder towards the south where it can drop down to 22 ° C.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 5 mm full wetsuit throughout the year for Komodo area.
Diver requirement
Intermediate to Advanced level, A good level in diving and some experience in drift diving are recommended to participate to Komodo cruise.

Unless the trip is from Bali - Komodo, then the embarkation can be in Bali (DPS).

Banda Sea
Best time for diving
October to November & March to April, the seas are generally calmer during these months and in October to November there is higher chance to see hammerhead sharks. From May to August the surface conditions can get quite rough.
The visibility is generally good to excellent in Banda Sea areas, except in Ambon bay and in other bays for critter dives. Currents are low to moderate on most of the sites, however, strong currents may occur at times.
About temperatures
Air : range between 25°C - 31°C year-round.
Sea : range between 26°C - 29°C year-round.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 - 5 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.
Diver requirement

The embarkation / disembarkation can be in Ambon (AMQ), Kaimana (KNG), Maumere (MOF), Sorong (SOQ), Waisai (RJM), Saumalaki (SXK) etc. As some of the Banda Sea trip will combine with other destinations like Raja Ampat, Halmahera, Triton Bay.
