Description

Boat

Red Sea Master is a beautiful wooden vessel measures 41m in length and 8.75m in breadth. With two engines onboard, it cruises at 13 knots per hour. It was formerly known as Blue Horizon Liveaboard, originally built in 2006, and had a completely refurbished during 2016 to 2017, and now operates as part of the Master Liveaboards fleet in the crystal blue waters of the Red Sea.

Red Sea Master is specially laid-out for having guests spend their holidays aboard, there is of course ample space for all guests to relax and enjoy their diving cruise. A generous sundeck on the fly bridge, a separate bar and sky lounge with state of the art entertainment system and even a Jacuzzi make for a luxurious stay on board.

There is also plenty of room for guests who prefer to relax and unwind in the shade. Featuring a nitrox membrane, booster pump, a technical blending panel, the Red Sea Master fully caters for rebreathers and technical divers.

Onboard, the chef offer a choice of international and local cuisine, all meals are served in buffet style. In between the meals, there is always some tasty treats for you to pick up. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let our booking agents know, so we can put an note for you.

There is a range of fruit juices, balck/green herbal teas, carbonated soft drinks available any time of the day, as well as instant and freshly brewed coffee. Guests may also select beer, wine or spirit from the cocktail bar for an additional fee, in accordace with local law, we have a "Ship-Only" bar policy.

Red Sea Master provide divers a spacious and well equipped dive deck at the rear of the main deck. All guests will be allocated an individual set up location with under bench storage for masks, fins and other personal items. A central camera set up table can be used to store prepared equipment ahead of the dive, with dedicated rinse tanks provided.


Cabin

Red Sea Master has 13 spacious & luxury guest cabins, it can accommodate up to 26 guests per tirp:

All cabins equipped with air-conditioning, ensuite bathroom, in-cabin entertainment system, a mini fridge, storage spaces and charging station with 220v EU/UK sockets.

4 Suite Cabins (#1 - 4) :
Located on the main deck, each cabin comes with one double bed, seaview windows.

5 Deluxe Double/Twin Cabins (#5, 6, 7, 8, 9) :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with one double bed and one single bed side by side, portholes.

4 Deluxe Twin Cabins (# 10, 11, 12, 13):
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single beds side by side, portholes.


Diving

  • 7-night itinerary provides for between 18-20 dives.

  • 10-night itineraries provides up to 30 dives.

  • Only 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.

  • No dive provided on the day of arrival and departure.

  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

  • Supports all types of totally closed-circuit rebreathers (CCR)

Itineraries

Best of Brothers :
The first diving day aboard the Red Sea Master starts with a check-out dive, followed by a practised zodiac dive and a night dive in the Hurghada area before heading out to the Brother Islands. Here you will spend the next 3 days; at Big and Small Brother. On day 5, you will be diving some of the beautiful reefs and wrecks in Safaga. On your last day diving day, we schedule 2 morning dives near Hurghada, to allow plenty of time for off-gassing.

Best of Wrecks :
The first diving day aboard the Red Sea Master starts with a check-out dive before heading north for an afternoon dive at Abu Nuhas and a night dive. Over the following 2-3 days you will see many of the famous wrecks: Thistlegorm, Dunraven, Ghiannis D., Carnatic, Rosalie Moller and potentially even more. Day 4 will be spent visiting the Salem Express and Al Kafain, two large ferry wrecks close to Sha’ab Sheer in Safaga. On day 5 you will visit the Numidia and the Aida wrecks at Big Brother Island. On your last day diving day, we schedule 2 morning dives near Hurghada, to allow plenty of time for off-gassing.

Daedalus & Fury Shoal :
The first diving day aboard the Red Sea Master starts with a local check-out dive around Port Ghalib, before heading south for your afternoon and night dive on the way to Fury Shoal. We normally spend 2 days at Fury Shoal, on a schedule of 4 dives per day. On day 4, we proceed to Daedalus, where we will also spend 2 days to look for bigger pelagic fish. On your last day we schedule an early morning dive at Elphinstone. Afterwards, you can enjoy a relaxing morning dive local to Port Ghalib to allow plenty of time for off-gassing.

Daedalus & St. Johns :
The first diving day aboard the Red Sea Master starts with a local check-out dive around Port Ghalib, before heading south for your afternoon dive on the way to St. Johns. We normally spend 1 day and the morning of day 3 at St. Johns. We will then travel north to dive at Cave Reef before heading to Fury Shoal. On the fourth day you will be diving at the beautiful reefs of Fury Shoal. Famous Daedalus will be visited the next day to look for the big pelagic fish. On your last day we schedule an early morning dive at Elphinstone and a relaxing dive local to Port Ghalib to allow plenty of time for off-gassing.

North & Brothers :
Depending on your embarkation point, you will be doing a check out dive on your first day in either Hurghada or Port Ghalib area, before heading north to do an afternoon and a night dive. The next two days you will be cruising the north of the Red Sea; normally 3 dives and a night dive are scheduled daily. You will pay a visit to a fair number of wrecks, including the famous SS. Thistlegorm wreck. Moreover, you will dive in the Ras Mohamed Marine Park, renowned for its wonderful reef diving and chances of seeing megafauna as well. Onwards to Big and Small Brother Islands, where we will spend 2 full days looking for the larger pelagic fish. On your last day on board, we schedule two morning dives not far from your disembarkation point (Hurghada or Port Ghalib), to allow plenty of time for off-gassing.

Northern Wrecks & Reefs :
The first diving day aboard the Red Sea Master starts with a check-out dive before heading north for an afternoon dive and a night dive. Over the following 2-5 days you will see many of the famous wrecks: SS Thistlegorm, Dunraven, Ghiannis D., Carnatic, and potentially even more. There is some fantastic reef diving as well including the Ras Mohamed marine park, Danaba (Shag Rock), Sha’ab El Erg (famous for dolphin encounters) and the Island of Gubal. On your last day diving day, we schedule 2 morning dives to allow plenty of time for off-gassing.

Rocky, Zabargad & St. Johns :
The first diving day aboard the Red Sea Master starts with a check-out dive before heading south for an afternoon dive on the way to the Marine Parks. The next three day will be spent between Rocky and Zabargad Islands and the reefs of St. Johns. Enjoy some relaxing and beautiful dives at Fury Shoal on day 5. After an early morning dive at Elphinstone on your last day, we schedule 1 more dive near Port Ghalib, to allow plenty of time for off-gassing.

Simply the Best - B.D.E :
The first diving day aboard the Red Sea Master starts with a check-out dive, practice RIB diving and a night dive before heading out to the marine parks. Normally, we will spend one day each at: Big Brother, Small Brother, Daedalus and Elphinstone. On your last day diving day we schedule 2 morning dives, to allow plenty of time for off-gassing.

Strait of Tiran & North :
Start the week with a check out dive on your first day in the area of Hurghada, before heading north to do an afternoon and a night dive. Days 2-5 will be spent cruising the north of the Red Sea, normally on a schedule of 3 dives per day and a night dive. You can expect to visit multiple wrecks; including the Thistlegorm. There is also fantastic reef and drift diving in Strait of Tiran, Ras Mohamed and Gubal Island and we hope to encounter dolphins at Sha’ab El Erg. On your last day on board, we schedule two morning dives not far from Hurghada, to allow plenty of time for off-gassing.

The Best of the Red Sea :
The first diving day aboard the Red Sea Master starts with a check-out dive around Port Ghalib before heading south for an afternoon dive on the way to the Marine Parks. The next two days will be spent at the islands of Rocky and Zabargad. Enjoy some relaxing and beautiful dives at Fury Shoal on day 4. Day 5 will be spent at the famous Daedalus Reef, looking for hammerhead sharks. After an early morning dive at Elphinstone on your last day, we schedule 1 more dive near Port Ghalib, to allow plenty of time for off-gassing.

Tekstreme - Rocky & SS Maidan :
The first diving day aboard the Red Sea Master starts with a local check-out dive around Port Ghalib, before heading to Elphinstone Reef south arch. Then on Day 2 will be dive at Daedalus reef with a chance to see hammerheads. From Day 3 to Day 5 wil be dive around Rocky Island and the SS Maidan wreck. Day 6 will be spent at the Elphinstone reef north. This special trip can arrage a full range of technical courses with Tekstreme Diving (through BSAC, PADI, TecRec, SSI and TDI).

Egypt

Period : Liveaboards run trips year round, with the high season being from March to November.

Visa's : All visitors to Egypt need an entry Visa to enter Egypt. For many nationalities visa can be purchased on arrival in Cairo or Hurghada for 25 USD. However, please check with the appropriate consulate to ensure you have the proper documentations.

Climat : The climate of the Marsa Alam and Hurghada have a subtropical desert climate with mild warm winters and hot summers.

  • Day Temperature: Summer time 33C/ 91F - Winter time 21C/69F
  • Night Temperature: Summer time 26C/78F - Winter time 17C/62F

Water : the average Water temps in the summer months you can expect 27°- 29°C/ 80°- 84°F, while in the winter months the temps can drop down to 23C/ 74°F.

Clothing : Dress accordingly to the seasons, light clothes in summer, and warmer clothes for the cooler winters.Please plan to travel light, as on all live-aboard dive yachts, space is limited.

Plugs : Type C electrical plugs (Europe standard) 220V @ 50Hz

Flights : Many international flights arrive directly from Europe and Asia to Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh International Airports.

Currency : Local currency is the Egyptian pound (EGP), other currencies can be easily changed at banks or money changers, and international ATM's are available. Credit Cards (Mastercard/ Visa) are widely accepted.
