Description

Boat

Raja Ampat Aggressor is a 30 meters long, 8 meters wide professional steel dive yacht, Like all Aggressor Fleet's yacht, it built to Lloyd’s Registry and American Bureau of Shipping Standards, cruises at 8 knots and has 220-volt power. It was expressly designed to conduct safe, comfortable and efficient oceanic & marine-life expeditions.

The spacious salon offers a comfortable dining and sitting arrangement, a fully equipped entertainment center. The interior has been kept light and airy and has a relaxed atmosphere. The salon has a refreshments corner and our extensive marine life library is kept here as well.

The upper deck or sun deck is shaded and is everyone’s favourite area for relaxing and socializing between dives. A second refreshments corner is located here and passengers can sit around the large picnic style table or settle down on one of the comfortable lounge chairs.

Raja Ampat Aggressor’s unique feature is the revolutionary “whale-deck”, the lower section of the dive-deck is where the dinghies are stored when the vessel is underway and allow easy access to the water.

You can relax and enjoy in the spacious salon or upper shadow or sun deck, comfortable dining and seating arrangement and a fully equipped entertainment center. It offers you all you need with the aim to support and assist your passion for diving and professional photography standards, your stay and your dreams.


Cabin

Raja Ampat Aggressor has 8 comfortable cabins, it can accommodate up to 16 guests per trip:

All cabins have private bathrooms, individually controlled air-conditioning, lots of storage space, monitor with media player.

1 Master Stateroom (#5):
Located on the upper deck, comes with a qeen size double bed, seaview window.

2 Deluxe Stateroom (#3 & 4):
Located on the main deck, each cabin comes with a double bed (lower) and a single bed (upper) in bunk-style, seaview window.

3 Twin staterooms (#6, 7, 8):
Located on the upper deck, each cabin comes with two single beds in L-Shaped, seaview window.

2 Twin staterooms (#1, 2):
Located on the main deck, each cabin comes with a single bed (lower) and a single bed (upper) in L-Shaped (bunk-style), portholes.


Diving

  • For 8D/7N trip, 22 dives can be offered.

  • For 11D/10N trip, 33 dives can be offered.

  • No dive provided on the day of arrival and departure.

  • Only 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.

  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

Itineraries

The Raja Ampat Aggressor offers 4 different itineraries with each departing from a different island/port. It is important to know which itinerary you have chosen and the embark/disembark locations. Guests are encouraged to arrive at least one day prior to the charter start date regardless of the trip you are on.

The Raja Ampat Aggressor has chosen the best time of year to be in Raja Ampat, Triton Bay, Banda Sea and Derawan Islands. On the charter start date, guests are met at the local airport or hotel and transferred to the yacht for boarding.


Raja Ampat Itineraries (7, 10, 12 Nights)

Getting There: Raja Ampat (Sorong) / Raja Ampat (Sorong)

Fly to Jakarta then connect with Garuda Airlines via Makassar or Lion/Wing Air to Sorong.

Fly to Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar Indonesia with Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, China Air, Eva Airways, Korean Airlines, or Qatar Airways. (an overnight stay may be required) Then fly to Sorong (SOQ) Dominique Edward Osok Airport in West Papua where you will meet the RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR™.

Fly to Singapore then Manado to Sorong or Singapore then Makassar to Sorong.


Banda Sea Itineraries (10 nights, 33 dives)

Getting There: Banda Sea (Ambon) /Triton Bay (Kaimana) or Banda Sea (Ambon) /Raja Ampat (Sorong)

Fly to Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar Indonesia: Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, China Air, Eva Airways, and Qatar Airways. An overnight stay may be required in Bali before boarding a flight to Sorong (SOQ) Dominique Edward Osok Airport, in West Papua or Ambon (AMQ) Pattimura Airport, in Central Maluku where you will meet the RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR™.

Fly to Jakarta or Makassar (also known as Ujung Pandang) or Manado then to Sorong Airport, or Ambon Airport.


Derawan Islands, Indonesia (7 nights, 22 dives)

Getting There: Tarakan

Fly to Jakarta then Tarakan.

Tarakan is a large modern city, which has an international airport and multiple daily direct flights from Jakarta, making the trip and connections quite easy for international travelers. Guests will be picked up from us either from the host hotel in Tarakan or from the airport. Tarakan is big but well connected with good roads, all transfers will be no longer than 20-30 minutes to the yacht.


Triton Bay Itineraries (10 nights, 33 dives)

Getting There: Triton (Kaimana) /Raja Ampat (Sorong) or Banda Sea (Ambon) /Triton Bay (Kaimana)

Fly to Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar Indonesia: Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, China Air, Eva Airways, and Qatar Airways. An overnight may be required in Bali before boarding a flight to Kaimana (KNG) Kaimana Airport, or Sorong (SOQ) Dominique Edward Osok Airport in West Papua or Ambon (AMQ) Pattimura Airport, in Central Maluku, where you will meet the RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR™.

Fly to Kaimana, Sorong or Ambon from Jakarta, Makassar (also known as Ujung Pandang) or Manado.


Note: The Indonesia National Park Authority requires each guests passport information 7 days prior to departure to process a required diving permit. Your passport information will be taken from the GIS and sent to the yacht. Failure to complete this withing this time frame will result in being denied permission to dive on the charter start date.

Reservations made less than 7 nights prior to departure must have the required paperwork submitted at least 5 days prior to departure date to allow time to process the necessary permits.

Useful information

Raja Ampat

Period : The diving season is year-round. Best diving season is December to March with the best overall visibility. Most liveaboards avoid Raja Ampat from mid July - mid September due to the likelihood of experiencing both strong winds / surface swells and rain.

Visa's : For most nationalities worldwide, a tourist entry visas valid for 30 days can be obtained on arrival at the first Indonesian airport for USD 25.00 in cash. These entry visas cannot be extended on arrival.

Climat : Raja Ampat lies on the equator and has a hot and humid tropical climate. The air temperature is fairly contant year round and can drop to 24°C overnight whilst the daytime maximum is 31°C. The average humidity is 83%.

Water : The water temperature is a fairly constant and warm 27°C - 29°C.

Clothing : Light airy clothes are ideal, can be cool with rain. Sun protection is a must.

Plugs : Type C Europlug, 230V @ 50Hz

Flights : The town of Sorong in West Papua is the main gateway to Raja Ampat. Sorong is mainly accessed via connections from Jakarta, Denpasar Bali and Makassar.

  • Airport taxes on departure are levied at every Indonesian airport. These taxes need to be paid cash in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). The fees for domestic departures vary between IDR 20.000-40.000 per person. At international airports the charges are higher, between IDR 100.000-150.000 per person.
  • Please note that baggage allowance on any domestic flights ticketed separately may be limited to 15kg (33bs) per person only, and any additional weight will be subject to surcharges per kilo.

Currency : Official currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), Money-Exchanger can be found in most of the place. International ATM's are available (Visa/Masterd Card/Unionpay). Credit Cards not always accepted, Some fees may only be paid in cash.
