Itineraries

Philippine Siren offer 4 distinct trips to the islands and dive sites of the Philippines that will whet the appetite of even the most seasoned diver : Tubbataha, Visayas - Cebu, Cabilao, Balicasag, Apo, Negros, Pescador & Malapascua.

Tubbataha

Late February to Middle June - 6 nights / 13 nights
Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park comprises North Atoll, South Atoll and Jessie Beazley Reef. Dive sites consist mainly of vertical walls or near drop offs rising out of great depths. The reefs of Tubbataha consist of vertical walls or near drop off's rising out of great depths where hammerheads, thresher sharks and whale sharks can be seen. The shallow reef tops are teeming with colourful reef fish whilst at many dive sites stingrays, spiny lobsters, immature manta rays and turtles are found.

Notes : In Tubbataha, diving conditions are not suitable for beginners: strong currents, wall dives, etc. Therefore, we recommend all divers to have logged a minimum of 20 dives.

Day 1 :
Pick up time is 12.30 PM at Hotel Centro. Latest embarkation time is 13:00 PM due to departure to reach Tubbataha on time to dive the first dive next morning.

Once on board Philippine Siren, lunch will be served then there will be a mandatory briefing from the Tubbataha Management Office and a check conducted by the coastguard.

Guests are advised that the briefings and checks can only be conducted once all guests are on board, and the Philippine Siren will not be allowed to leave port until these have been carried out.

Crossing time from Puerto Princesa to Tubbataha is between 12 - 16 hours and any delays to departure due to late arrival of guests may result in dives being missed.

Day 2 - Day 5 :
Your Cruise Director will schedule up to 4 dives per day, 3 day dives and a sunset dive. A typical diving day is scheduled as follows:

Light Breakfast followed by a briefing & Dive 1
Full Breakfast, relaxation followed by briefing & Dive 2
Lunch, relaxation followed by briefing & Dive 3
Snack
Briefing for Sunset dive (no night dives in Tubbataha: due to strong currents!)
Dinner

Day 6 :
Generally, we schedule 2 dives on your final dive day in order to allow enough time for off-gassing. To remain on the safe side, we kindly request our guests to check their own flight times and ensure that they leave a minimum of 24 hours between their final dive and their return flight.

Day 7 :
Check out after breakfast around 8AM, transfer back to the airport. The transfer takes approximately 20 minutes.

The Visayas

Late June to Late February - 6 nights / 10 nights
The Visayas region is home to some of the best diving in the Philippines, with its nutrient rich water supporting a variety of eco-systems & a wide diversity of marine life. Sites range from steep coral covered walls to gentle sloping reefs and muck diving hotspots. During the tour we visit and dive the islands of Cebu, Cabilao, Panglao, Balicasag and Pescador. Along with Apo Island marine sanctuary and critter hot spot Dauin.

Malapascua

Late June to Late February - 10 nights / 12 nights
In a diver's mind, Malapascua is often directly linked with thresher shark encounters and with almost guaranteed daily sightings on Monad Shoal it is not surprising. But there is more to Malapascua than just the threshers, especially when it is combined with the delights that the Visayas have to offer.
