Description

Boat

Matahariku is a beautifully constructed wooden vessel with an old-style. It sails the Indonesian waters since April 2010, runs by Sunshine Cruise - a dive and cruise company owned by the Dutch SA partnership ownership.

Matahariku measuring 40.4m long and 9.2m wide, she is powered with an engine Mitsubishi 380Hp, ideal for small groups who want to discover the sea around different Indonesian islands in a comfortable and luxurious way.

On the upper deck, you will enjoy a large covered sun deck including cushioned sun beds, two tables and chairs so you can relax, have a drink between two dives, or just enjoy the breathtaking views in all directions.

You will be able to unwind in comfort in the indoor salon located on the main deck and including a lounge with flat screen TV, DVD player, a Stereo player, iPod Dock, CD player, Library, and a huge couch, tables and a modern fitted kitchen.

Next to the salon is a cozy outdoor dinning area with a large table where delicious meals will be served: snacks, exotic cocktails, classic local dishes completed with an atmosphere never to be forgotten. You will also find an outdoor bar so you can enjoy the tropical climate.

Matahariku has a spacious shaded dive platform located at the aft of the main deck. It is equipped with individual storage for your gear and makes kitting up easy. It also provides easy access to the zodiacs used for diving (inflatable boats) and comes with warm water showers.

The friendly, experienced and professional dive crew of Matahariku will be on hand to make sure your diving holiday is as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.


Cabin

Matahariku has 7 guest cabins and it can welcome up to 12 guests.

All cabins have air-conditioning and private bathroom with hot and cold tap water.

1 Master Suite :
Located on the lower deck, it is the largest cabin onboard, equipped with one king sized bed, lots of portholes.

2 Deluxe Double Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin equipped with one double bed, portholes.

2 Deluxe Single Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with one small double bed, portholes.

2 Standard Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single bunk beds in "L" shape, portholes.


Diving

  • 3 dives per day + alternating additional night dives.
  • No dive on the embarkation and disembarkation day.
  • Only 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.
  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.
  • Stand‐paddle surf (SUP), Kayaks, wakeboard, windsurf available.

Raja Ampat

Raja Ampat is a true paradise for divers. Raja Ampat certainly represents the world’s richest marine diversity, with the highest number of known species of fish, corals, and mollusks. It counts more then 1500 species and 500 different types of coloured hard and soft corals. With the MatahariKu we go beyond the beaten track. The area is wel known for its Manta Rays which you can encounter all year round.

Schools of barracudas, parrotfish, humpback groupers, reef sharks, turtles and the list goes on. Not to mention the macro you will see everywhere. The rich variety of reefs are also not to be overlooked with vertical walls, slopes, dry rocks, caves and lagoons. Also renowned as the center of pygmy seahorses and gorgonians, everywhere you go you will be amazed by the profusion of marine life that Raja Ampat has to offer you.

Komodo

Home of the world’s most pristine reefs, Komodo Island offers what many claim to be the “best diving in the world.” ! In the north, you can find a collection of the world’s most beautiful varieties of reefs, boasting a rich combination of hard and soft corals, shoals of antheas, wrasses, angelfishes, and also predators–reef sharks, tunas, and giant kingfishes. In the south you will see more soft corals with amazing profusion of colors, and even more macro.

Komodo offers a wide variety of dives: pelagic dives in strong currents, gentle drift dives, wall dives (colorful drop-offs, monumental boulders, seamounts, pinnacles and sandy slopes) and macro dives. You can also find manta rays, turtles and, if you are lucky enough, some whale sharks!! ! We offer 6 day, 5 night cruises, departing from Labuan Bajo, Flores, and ending in Labuan Bajo.
