Description

Boat

Maldives Legend is a 30 meters long, 8.57 meters wide modern scuba yacht originally built back in 2005, it had a complete renovation in 2019, giving the interiors a Chic makeover. Maldives Legend is suitable for Divers, Surfers and Fun cruise trips.

Maldives Legend has four decks: the lower deck are the cabin deck, the main deck comes with a stylish and spacious indoor lounge with restaurant and bar, toilette, TV-DVD corner. The upper deck are the suites deck, then there is a large sundeck on the top.

The indoor lounge area is well equipped for non-divers and surfers providing different onboard activities such as Indoor Games, Televisions, Videos and a Library. With an extensive lounge area providing Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, snacks and your favorite wine and liquor.

Maldives Legend serve three meals per day, variety of international and Asian cuisine all the meals are served in buffet style. There is a full service bar where you can select from a list of wines, beers, variety of spirits and soft drinks with extra charge.

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free as well as allergies so let us know upon booking if you require special meals. If you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or other special life event, please let us know. Our crew stands ready to assist you in making your special day something to remember.

The large outdoor sundeck has an onboard Jacuzzi as well as 20 sun beds for guests use.

Maldives Legend provides diving from the dive dhoni boat, which provide comfort and function at the same time. All the equipment stay in the dive dhoni (compressors, tanks etc.) in order to keep the noise away from the main boat when filling the tanks.


Cabin

Maldives Legend has 11 air-conditioned guest cabins, it can welcome 22 guests :

All cabins have ensuite bathroom, A/C, storage area, electrical outlets with 220, most of the cabins have hair dryers.

3 Seaview Suites :
Located on the upper deck, each cabin comes a kingsize double bed, large ensuite bathroom comes with shower and bathtub, seaview windows.

6 Deluxe Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with one double bed and one single bed side by side, bathroom with shower, portholes.

2 Standard Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with twin bunk beds, bathroom with shower, portholes.


Diving

  • 17 dives per week, include 1 night, depends on conditions.
  • Only 2 dives will be provided on the day before departure.
  • No dive provided on the day of arrival and departure.
  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

PLEASE NOTE: From January 2012 scuba diving is not permitted in Hanifaru Bay, however you will be able to snorkel in this area for a $20 fee (per person for approx. 45mins).

Fishing
We provide fishing Charter services to our clients upon requests. Line fishing is provided for all fishing charters along with a professionally equipped fishing vessel.

Island Hopping
Island Hopping is included in all types of charters provided by us. From taking our guests to Local Fishing Village, experiencing local island culture and our Maldivian Cuisine such as Maldivian Tea, our guests are ensured to get an all-round Maldivian Style hospitality. During the island hopping, guests are welcomed to visit local souvenir shops in the Island to shop as memento.

Water Sports
Similarly to Island Hopping, various types of watersports are provided to our guests regardless of type of charter. Motorized and Non-Motorized watersports could be provided upon request. Some of the most popular watersports options are: Jet ski, Fly boarding, Wakeboarding, Kite Surfing.

Central Maldives

Best time for diving
December to April, Central Maldives is suitable for diving year-round, these months are the Northeast dry season, and it's the time for best visibility and weather condition.
The visibility range between 20 - 40 meters year-round. And the currents are usually mild to intermediate. Diving depth range from 10 - 40 meters.

About temperatures
Air : range between 27°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : very stable and warm, range from 28°C - 30°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels, but to enjoy the best out of it, we recommend an AOW level with 30 dives.

The embarkation / disembarkation for Central Maldives cruise will be in Malé, guests need to fly in/out to Velana International Airport (MLE).

Visa Requirements
A 30 days tourist visa is granted for all nationalities on arrival to Maldives. This period of stay is not for the visitor to claim, but lies at the discretion of the Maldives Immigration to grant any number of days less than or equal to 30. Please refer to Maldives Tourist Visa for details.

Vaccinations
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers over the age of 9 months arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.

Money Matters

North Maldives

Best time for diving
June to November, North Maldives offers great diving all year, especially in the Far North Atolls, you can expect sunny skies most of the year. And in Hanifaru Bay, each year during June to November is the famous cyclone feeding, which is a rare and spectacular event where over 100 manta rays can feed together and create a chain which the head of each manta ray touches the tail of the manta in front. This creates a huge spiral of up to 200 mantas along with their fellow plankton feeders the Whale Shark.

Air : range between 27°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : very stable and warm, range from 27°C - 29°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement

Best time for diving
December to April offers the best visibility and sea conditions. Although short spells of heavy rainfall can be experienced during the summer months, but this region do offer good diving all year round.

About temperatures
Air : range between 28°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : very stable and warm, range from 27°C - 29°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a dive Skin or 3 mm wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement
Suitable for divers have AOW level with good drift diving experience, as there can be strong currents in the channels surrounding the islands.

Most of the embarkation / disembarkation for South Maldives cruise (Meemu atoll, Thaa atoll, Felidhoo atoll) will be in Malé, guests need to fly in/out to Velana International Airport (MLE).

For the Deep South Atolls (Laamu atoll, Gaafu Alifu atoll, Huvadhoo atoll, Fuvahmulah, Addu atoll), domestic flights are usually required to Addu atoll (GAN), Gaafu Alifu atoll (GKK), Huvadhoo atoll (KDM) or Fuvahmulah (FVM). Longer trips like 2 weeks might depart or return to Male.
