Description

Boat

Horizon III is a 35 meters long, 9 meters wide fiber glass twin engine yacht, also called "Ocean Oasis". Built during 2007 - 2009. In March 2017, it started the first Maldives liveaboard diving trip, and since then, we received lots of positive feedbacks from our divers worldwide, this boat offers the best budget dive liveaboard trips in the Maldives.

Horizon III offers its light, airy, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, and provide a high level of cleanliness and a home from home. The interior design is light and clean with wooden flooring throughout.

There is an indoor lounge which completed with dining area, LCD TV, DVD player, music system, and a library with lots of books and board games. And there is an additional camera storage area, where each guest can find him own shelf for personal items and charging points for torches and cameras etc.

There is a fully equipped bar can offers a variety of soft drinks, selected wines, sparkling wines, beers and liquors.

In addition, there are 4 different large outdoor sundecks for guests to spend time on thier own, guests can relax and refresh the mind on the lounge chairs with mattresses in the shaded area, or enjoy the sun bath.

There is an outdoor Jacuzzi, so guests can relax in the water while enjoy the most amazing view.

All diving is done from the dive dhoni boat, which provide comfort and function at the same time. All the equipment stay in the dive dhoni (compressors, tanks etc.) in order to keep the noise away from the main boat when filling the tanks.


Cabin

Horizon III has 12 comfortable guest cabins, it can accommodate up to 22 - 24 guests on board:

All cabins equipped with ensuite-bathroom, individually controlled air conditioning, storage area, and other cabin facilities.

1 Master Deluxe Cabins :
Located on the upper deck, comes with a king size double bed, table and chair, bathroom with massage shower & bathtub, lot of large seaview windows.

2 Deluxe Cabins :
Located on the upper deck, each comes with a queen size double bed, table and chair, bathroom with massage shower, lot of large seaview windows.

1 Standard Cabin :
Located on the main deck, comes with 1 single bed and one smalle double bed in bunk style, seaview windows.

2 Standard Cabins: Located on the lower deck, each comes with a double bed, portholes.

6 Standard Twin Cabins: Located on the lower deck, each with two single beds side by side, portholes.


Diving

  • 17 dives per week, include 1 night, depending on conditions.

  • Only 2 dives will be provided on the day before departure.

  • No dive provided on the day of arrival and departure.

  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

Itineraries

Central Classic Atolls 8D/7N

The “Classic Atolls” because they include a beautiful mix of everything: Sharks, Rays, Napoleons, Mantas, Corals, sometimes Mantas at Night, Whale shark, an exciting wreck dive…you will love it because it offers a beautiful mix of Maldivian highlights.

Day 1: Guests will be picked up from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport and will start sailing from Male’,depending on arrival check dive will be done.

Day 2: we make three dives, 1st dive Lankan manta, after dive cross to Ari atoll, 2nd Dive bathalakanthila, 3rd Dive fesdu thila,after dive check for manta at night.

Day 3: we make three dives,1st dive Maalhos thila,2nd dive moofushi manta,3rd Dive raidhiga thila,if weather good check to make bbq.

Day 4: we make three dives,1st dive Rangali madivaru,after dive after breakfast search for whale shark,2nd dive Maamingli beyru,after dive after lunch search for whale shark again,2nd dive dhidhoo beyru.

Day 5: we do three dives,morning dive kudarah thila,after dive boat cross to vaavu atoll,2nd Dive dhigaluvashee kandu,3rd dive Night dive with nurse sharks Alimatha house reef.

Day 6: we make three dives,1st dive miyaru kandu,after dive boat cross to south male atoll,2nd dive kandooma thila,3rd dive kuda giri wreck.

Day 7: depending on guest departure we make one dive and Coming back to Male’ at the end of the trip and if guest like to go male site seeing will be organized.

Day 8: Guests will be dropped off to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport after breakfast around 7am.

Addu to Huvadhoo (7 Nights)
This trip is more for divers who are used to and love current dives and channel dives, it’s a mix of channel and out reef diving, We can see a wreck of wold war 2 called British loyalty,Mantas,Tiger Sharks ,hammer heads, Thresher Sharks, whale sharks , grey reef sharks, white tip sharks ,nurse sharks, zebra sharks, oceanic black tip sharks , guitar sharks ,turtles , Eagle rays and a good fish life.

MALE to LAAMU ATOLL. (7 nights)
This cruise is totally for channel dive lovers,possible to see all kinds of sharks known to Maldives waters,eagle rays,green turtles and fantastic hard coral. Itinerary is subject to change due to the weather conditions, length of the trip and the group’s majority decision. This cruise includes a domestic flight from Laamu to Male or Male to Laamu.

Laamu to Huvadhoo (7 nights)
This cruise is totally for channel dive lovers,possible to see all kinds of sharks known to Maldives waters,eagle rays,green turtles and fantastic hard coral. Extra Domestic flight chargers applicable since this includes 2 domestic flight from Male to Laamu at the start of the trip and from Huvadhoo to Male at the end of the trip.

Northern Atolls
BAA, RAA, Lhaviyani, Noonu, Shaviyani, HAA Dhaal, HAA Alif (Hanimaadhoo). Little channels. Beautifully structured, partly very rich in fish, and colorful reefs. The further north you go the more colorful soft corals can be seen. Little boats operate there, we're often alone. We know some spectacular sites of big fish: manta rays and guitar sharks, zebra sharks, nurse sharks, grey reef sharks, stingrays, big eye trevallies, Batfish, pennant fish schools and coloured snails are often to see when compared to the southern atolls. In addition, we meet regularly on whales and dolphins.

Diving

We offer generally 3 guided dives per day. Early morning, sunset - as well as night dives are regularly on the program.

We also offer a carefully selected mix of everything that the Maldives make so worthwhile in every trip. These include big fish, swarm fish and small animals, corals, hard corals, etc offer the many different reef structures change. Each tour includes channels, Thilas, elongated reefs, outer reefs, wrecks and overhangs. Depending on the atoll, we do also blue water dives.

Our dive sites are carefully choosen every day. We observe current conditions such as wind, tides, currents, visibility and weather. So we reach the optimum of each dive and offer a high quality and safety while diving.

Central Maldives

Period : Liveaboards only run trips year round, with the high season being from November to May.

Visa's : Visas are not required in advance but are issued on arrival. Travelers will be issued a 30 days visa free of charge with a passport of at least 6 months validity.

Climat : Northeast Season: December-April (dry monsoon). Southwest season May-November (wet monsoon). Temperatures are around 30˚ C and humidity is 60-80%. Cyclones are rare but possible in April/May and October/November. Average daily air temperature ranges from 28°C to 34°C throughout the year.

Water : Water temps stay consistent all year round at or above 27 °C through the central atolls, sometimes even reaching a balmy 30 °C. Because visibility is so clear, it is best to wear at least a rash vest for some sun protection underwater.

Clothing : Light airy clothes are perfect. Be prepared for plenty of sunshine most of the year.

Plugs : Type G, 2-pin electrical plugs with 230 V @ 50Hz

Flights : International flights arrive directly from many locations to Male. There are reliable and extensive domestic air carriers flying to many places within the country.

  • Alcohol and pork products are prohibited. A ‘reasonable quantity’ of tobacco is permitted.
  • A local Airport Development Charge (ADC) of US$25 for all international travellers over 2 years of age may be introduced shortly.

Currency : The Local currency is the Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR/Rf), but is rarely used on tourist resorts. Most transactions are made in US Dollars but other currencies are accepted. North Maldives

Period : Liveaboards to the north Maldives run trips from September through to May every year.

Visa's : Visas are not required in advance but are issued on arrival. Travelers will be issued a 30 days visa free of charge with a passport of at least 6 months validity.

Climat : Northeast Season: December-April (dry monsoon). Southwest season May-November (wet monsoon). Temperatures are around 30˚ C and humidity is 60-80%. Cyclones are rare but possible in April/May and October/November. Average daily air temperature ranges from 28°C to 34°C throughout the year.

Water : Water temps stay fairly consistent all year round at 27°C, though cooler water can come in from the deeper waters surrounding these northern atolls, with the temp occasionally dropping to 24°C.

Clothing : Light airy clothes are perfect. Be prepared for plenty of sunshine most of the year especially from November to May.

Plugs : Type G, 2-pin electrical plugs with 230 V @ 50Hz

Flights : International flights arrive directly from many locations to Male. Domestic flights to and from Hanimaadhoo are needed to reach the vessels.

  • Alcohol and pork products are prohibited. A ‘reasonable quantity’ of tobacco is permitted.
  • A local Airport Development Charge (ADC) of US$25 for all international travellers over 2 years of age may be introduced shortly.

Water : Because of the deep water surrounding the southern atolls, water temperature range from a low of 24°C to a high of 27°C.

Clothing : Light airy clothes are perfect. Be prepared for plenty of sunshine during this time of the year

Plugs : Type G, 2-pin electrical plugs with 230 V @ 50Hz

Flights : International flights arrive directly from many locations to Male. There are regular flights south to both Kadhadoo Airport and Kahdheedhoo Airport.

  • Alcohol and pork products are prohibited. A ‘reasonable quantity’ of tobacco is permitted.
  • A local Airport Development Charge (ADC) of US$25 for all international travellers over 2 years of age may be introduced shortly.
