Description

Boat

FUN AZUL MALDIVES is a 35.62 meter long, 10.2 meter wide comfortable, spacious and luxurious liveaboard yacht with a very comfortable doni, diving boat, separately from the mother boat.

FUN AZUL MALDIVES provides guests the comfort in and out of the ocean. As FUN AZUL Fleet started developing Maldives as a diving liveaboard destination in 2005, and opened a branch office in Maldives and have been training boat crews to provide best service available. In 2009, the boat started to built, and was launched in late August 2013.

FUN AZUL MALDIVES continually improve the service quality on the crews and develop the best routes while maintaining the highest safety standards. It offers diving liveaboard trips around the most popular atolls/dive sites at maximum comfort.

On the main deck, there is a airconditioned saloon with dining room and a cozy bar. In the saloon, guests can enjoy the audio system, DVD player with lots of movies, CDs, a large TV, and video equipment. There is also a PC station with WIFI on board.

The bar offering a range of drinks including fresh fruit juice, soft drinks, cocktails, beer, wine and other imported liquors. (some drinks with additional cost)

The kitchen provides a variety of Asian, European, and Maldivian cuisine, sometimes even has fresh sashimi or sushi.

The large sun deck provide a shade area, lots of sun longers, and a jacuzzi that can suits 6 guests together.


Cabin

FUN AZUL MALDIVES has 10 comfortable deluxe cabins, can accommodates accommodates 18 - 20 guests on board.

Lower Deck
Lower deck cabins all equipped with a small window, a fan, A/C, and a private shower booth and restroom, flat screen monitor with a DVD player.

1 Deluxe Single Cabin:Available for single travellers, euqipped with 1 queen size double bed.

1 Deluxe Double Cabin:Euqipped with 1 queen size double bed and 1 single bed.

5 Deluxe Twin Cabins:Euqipped with 2 wide single beds.

Upper Deck
Upper deck cabins all equipped with wide windows, a fan, A/C, a private shower booth and restroom, mini bar (not included in the tour fee), a wide dresser with a mirror and a closet, flat screen monitor with DVD player.

1 Suite Cabin:Euqipped with 1 king size double bed.

2 Master Cabins:Euqipped with 2 wide single beds.


Diving

  • 3 to 4 dives per day, depending on conditions.

  • No dive provided on the day of arrival and departure.

  • All diving will provide expericed guide to lead the dive.

Full Trip – 7 days Diving, Rainy season Only

Baa atoll, North Male Atoll, South Male, Rasdhoo Atoll, South Ari atoll and North Ari Atoll.
Everything you hope for is in this FULL TRIP.
You have a lot of chance to see Aggregation of Manta and feeding dance at Baa atoll, on the other, you may encounter WHALE SHARK at Ari atoll.


Baa Atoll Trip – 5 days Diving, Rainy season Only

Baa atoll, North Ari Atoll, North Male Aoll, Rasdhoo Atoll.
Baa-Atoll is the hottest and becoming very famous area in Maldives in recent years.
Only in the rainy season, we have a chance to see "Aggregation of Mantas"!!
We have a chance to see 20-30 mantas in one dive.
And if you are very lucky, a Whale shark is coming through these mantas.


Northern Explore Trip – 6 days Diving, Rainy season Only

Baa atoll, North Male Atoll, Lhaviyani Atoll, Noonu Atoll, Raa Atoll.
Baa Atoll, the hottest atoll in Maldives!
You aim for a school of Mantas in HanifalBay by snorkeling and we aim for Manta ray go round and round by diving.
From Lhaviyani Atoll with some untouched ocean to Noonu Atoll to Haa Atoll. Grey Reef Sharks, White Tip Sharks and Black Tip Sharks can be spotted here.
This course lets you feel the wilderness with the variety of young Cardinal fish often covering your eyes in this season.


Ari Atoll Trip (South Route)– 5 days Diving, Year Around

South Male Atoll, South Ari Atoll, North Ari Atoll, Rasdhoo Atoll, North Male Atoll.
This tour includes Manta point and Whale Shark area. In Rasdhoo-Atoll, we can try to search Hammerhead Sharks too!


Felidhe Atoll Trip – 5 days Diving, Dry season Only

South Male Atoll, South Ari Atoll, Felidhe Atoll.
In Felidhe-Atoll we can enjoy dynamic channel dive.
Strong in-comming current is pushing big staffs to the corner. On the corner, we have a chance to see Gray-reef Sharks, White tip-reef Sharks and schools of Eagle-rays!
If you are very lucky, you might see Great-Hummer!


Equatorial Trip – 6 days Diving, Dry season Only

Male Atoll → Felidhoo Atoll → Meemu Atoll → Thaa Atoll → Laamu Atoll → Gaafu Atoll.
Limited Special Trip for February!!
This is the only tripwith thedynamics of and the true excellence of the Maldivian sea!!!
This is a special tour to dive in Male Atoll → Felidhoo Atoll → Meemu Atoll → Thaa Atoll → Laamu Atoll → Gaafu Atoll.
Channel diving is the main diving. You will be greeted with unexpected big creatures such as school of Giant Barracudas, Bigeye Jacks, and Grey Reef Sharks and Hammerhead Sharks.
The diving at the Gaafu Atoll, the largest in the Maldives, is equally fascinating! Extraordinary ocean waits for your arrival with schools of Spotted Eagle Rays and Whale Sharks.
Limited to those with total diving experience of over 400dives.

Useful information

Central Maldives

Period : Liveaboards only run trips year round, with the high season being from November to May.

Visa's : Visas are not required in advance but are issued on arrival. Travelers will be issued a 30 days visa free of charge with a passport of at least 6 months validity.

Climat : Northeast Season: December-April (dry monsoon). Southwest season May-November (wet monsoon). Temperatures are around 30˚ C and humidity is 60-80%. Cyclones are rare but possible in April/May and October/November. Average daily air temperature ranges from 28°C to 34°C throughout the year.

Water : Water temps stay consistent all year round at or above 27 °C through the central atolls, sometimes even reaching a balmy 30 °C. Because visibility is so clear, it is best to wear at least a rash vest for some sun protection underwater.

Clothing : Light airy clothes are perfect. Be prepared for plenty of sunshine most of the year.

Plugs : Type G, 2-pin electrical plugs with 230 V @ 50Hz

Flights : International flights arrive directly from many locations to Male. There are reliable and extensive domestic air carriers flying to many places within the country.

  • Alcohol and pork products are prohibited. A ‘reasonable quantity’ of tobacco is permitted.
  • A local Airport Development Charge (ADC) of US$25 for all international travellers over 2 years of age may be introduced shortly.

Currency : The Local currency is the Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR/Rf), but is rarely used on tourist resorts. Most transactions are made in US Dollars but other currencies are accepted. Travelers cheques and major credit cards are widely accepted but 5% may be added for credit card transactions. Banks in Male will cash travelers cheques into US Dollars and Rufiyaa may also be purchased. ATM’s can be found in Male.


South Maldives

Period : Liveaboards run trips from January to end of April, during the north east monsoon.

Visa's : Visas are not required in advance but are issued on arrival. Travelers will be issued a 30 days visa free of charge with a passport of at least 6 months validity.

Climat : Southwest season May-November (wet monsoon). Temperatures are around 30˚ C and humidity is 60-80%. Average daily air temperature ranges from 28°C to 34°C throughout the year.

Water : Because of the deep water surrounding the southern atolls, water temperature range from a low of 24°C to a high of 27°C.

Clothing : Light airy clothes are perfect. Be prepared for plenty of sunshine during this time of the year

Plugs : Type G, 2-pin electrical plugs with 230 V @ 50Hz

Flights : International flights arrive directly from many locations to Male. There are regular flights south to both Kadhadoo Airport and Kahdheedhoo Airport.
